Had a meatball sub, it was huge, more than enough for two people. Food was really good and unbelievably priced. Easy parking and a quick walk from Seton Hall University. Today, I had an excellent chicken parm sub, amazing!!

I ordered a pizza through the slice app a little after 9 and tipped.
Upon delivery, I walked down the car of the delivery driver and he told me, next time to order earlier because the delivery tribe’s leave by 9:30.
It seems small, but it was like he was trying to make me feel bad because he didn’t feel like delivering a pizza. I understand work is tough some days, but I’m a customer who is giving you my business. PLUS, the fact that it was also very easy to decline this order if you were not fully equipped to fulfill it.
I would hate to inconvenience this place again with any business that I bring its way. I will not be ordering again.

I’m adding to my review from a year ago. Again, I read other reviews and couldn’t agree more with some of them. I definitely don’t want to seem as if I’m bashing this establishment, because as others have said, their food really “used to be good”. I don’t know if they have new chefs/owners or what the problem is. But the pizza that I had 2 days ago was absolutely awful. I ordered a pie a few weeks ago and it too was not great. I thought it was a fluke and decided to give it another try. That was a mistake. The pizza was so bland and tasteless. Others that ate it said the same. How do you mess up plain pizza? No bells/whistles, just a plain pizza. The sauce has virtually no taste at all. No way is it worth the price, in my opinion. I see other reviews saying the same. At this point, I’m giving up on this place. I hope that they not only see their reviews but do something about what people are saying. Since they are so close to Seton Hall, they will probably never run out of customers, but they still have the responsibility of serving their customers good tasting food. I will no longer recommend this establishment.

After reading several reviews I realize it is not just me. I’ve been ordering from this place for a little over 5 years. The food used to be much better. I often would get a turkey and cheese sub from there that was really tasty. However, I would say the last 5 to 6 times that I’ve gotten a sandwich I have not enjoyed it and today’s was no better. It seems like asking for “little oil and vinegar” means nothing. And maybe that’s their idea of a little, I don’t know. But to me, the bread should not be so saturated that it’s actually soggy and mushy and pink from all of the vinegar. The pictures don’t really show just how soggy the bread was. The only reason I tried to tolerate the sandwich today was because I was hungry and I’d already spent the money on it. I literally had to pull most of the middle out of the roll so my sandwich barely had bread. Just not a tasty sandwich at all! Very disappointing. I definitely will never order a turkey and cheese sub from there again. With food prices being what they are today, we can’t afford to spend money on food and it’s not enjoyable.

I have only ordered their chicken parm slice and its by far the best pizza I have had in a very long time. I expected the chicken to be a little dry and hard but it was the opposite. Tender, juicy and fresh. I have had a lot of pizza from various places but this slice right here .

The other day got, Village Pizzeria, for lunch. Got their Plain Slice, and a Buffalo Slice. Have been going here for a while, and it’s still the same every time. Their pizza is not that good at all. Have yet to try their Dinners, but strictly based off of their pizza, this place is not good at all. I typically just get Pizza from here, but in no way, shape, or form, should their pizza be this bad. Only reason they are ranked so highly is because their Marinara Sauce is phenomenal. It greatly impacts my total score. All in all, could not recommend their pizza, but for the quality of their Marinara Sauce on can tell their Dinners may be good. Just stay away from their pizza.

So I call village pizzeria to find out about the Tuesday 8.50 pizza pie. The lady who answered said yes we have the Tuesdays special, plus tax. Not once did she tell me cash only! So I end up paying 30 dollars for 2 pizzas. So mad! Won’t be going there anymore.

I ordered the wings and meatball parmigiana. And the meatballs looked fake almost like beyond meat or some frozen meatballs and wings tasted stale with no season. The chicken parmigiana hero/sub was delicious. We should have ordered the pizza which never fails. Disappointed ☹️

I typically don’t leave negative reviews but I don’t want anyone to experience the poor service we experienced. The employees were rude and seemed annoyed to serve me. After waiting several minutes for some form of acknowledgment, the person who was making the pizza took my cash and didn’t wash his hands before going back to making pizza. After looking at other reviews it seems as though this is a normal thing. The pizza is mediocre and the wings are disappointing. I would not recommend going here.

I like this pizza spot because it’s inexpensive and consistently good. It may not be the best pizza around, but you always know what you’re getting. Their crust is one of my favorites too. It’s popular among the college kids at Seton Hall University and the entire neighborhood.
