Social Profile:

Social House was not the first to introduce Nikkei cuisine to the island, but from the moment it opened, it redefined how that story was told. Guided by generations of experience, second-generation restaurateurs carried forward the wisdom and craft passed down through their family. With Nikkei cuisine, (where Japan meets Peru) gaining worldwide recognition, the dream was to elevate its standard for the Bahamian community and discerning travelers alike. Where a carefully crafted restaurant would provide a place where precision met passion, where yellowtail and ají amarillo could coexist beautifully, and where each plate told a story of heritage and innovation. Every plate at Social House reflects thoughtful craftsmanship: hamachi ceviche e

My husband, adult daughter and I went for dinner and it was fantastic. We love to try sharing plates and the 3 we got were outstanding… tuna tostadas!!!, 12 piece sushi, hamachi ceviche. My husband did the Mahi Mahi, which was so good. My daughter and I did more sushi and it was very fresh. The food was outstanding.

I forgot my cell which they found and locked up immediately until I could return to pick it up. The hostess (I forgot her name), she was so lovely as was everyone. Thank you all for a wonderful evening, it just added to our vacation.

Very Well established restaurant in the community, great food, unique menu, and variety, decent seating.

Food: Excellent
Service: Excellent
Atmosphere: Excellent
Cost: $$

What we had: Gyoza (appetizer), Lamb Rack, Chicken fried rice, Chicken Bao, 1 water & 2 non alcoholic beverages and Mochi ice cream dessert.
Total cost including taxes, gratuity: $172 this is very reasonable. We add a cash tip as well. Bring it to about $220

No cons to speak of. This was our second time there.

Parking is hard to find, but we were offered valet at the price of “whatever you want” to pay, I thought that was nice.

Social House has a nice, upscale atmosphere and the food was delicious. Portion sizes for the appetizers and entrées were a little on the small side, but the sushi rolls were a good size and very satisfying.

We had the ginger lemonade, which was refreshing, along with two styles of edamame—regular and spicy. The spicy edamame was especially good with a nice touch of sweetness. We also enjoyed the seafood udon noodles, steak salad, teriyaki chicken, and fried rice, all of which were flavorful and well prepared.

The only downside was that you have to purchase bottled water rather than having complimentary water. Overall, it was a great dining experience with excellent food and a stylish setting.

The good, the bad and the ugly.

The good: The miso cod was outstanding, the pork bao buns are worth it, the tostadas are great and the seared salmon miso roll was the only enjoyable roll. I would order it all again.

The bad-ish: Service was okay, they were busy, they did their best. But when issues occurred they were not overly accommodating or responsive.

The ugly: The lobster truffle roll had hard inedible rice. When we let them know they replaced it with a different roll of lesser value but kept the more expensive lobster roll on the bill. When this was addressed with the waiter he did not offer to fix it. At that point we were so done we didn’t ask for a manager.

The spicy tuna crunch was awful, had no tuna, no avocado and had empty fillings. (Picture provided). When this was addressed with the waiter he wasn’t exactly responsive.

I hope to come back and change my review as the initial items we had were truly worth ordering again. But tonight was otherwise disappointing.

This was one of the best restaurants we have ever been at. The food was absolutely outstanding. Delicious and very well presented. The atmosphere and lighting was really nice aswell.

The service was great, nothing to complain about.

If you want to eat sushi or chicken, you definitely have to pay them a visit. We had dinner 3 times and everything we tried was just great and worth every penny.

Thank you for making our stay at the Bahamas so much better!

From walking in and being greeted by a sassy and professional hostess, to our attentive servers, to every single fish we ordered being delicious. Even when one food round was taking a touch long (Valentine’s Day and a full restaurant) they were still attentive and apologizing profusely ensuring we knew they hadn’t forgotten us.

But you go for the food. Everything on point. Everything delicious from start to finish. From the maki rolls (tuna crunch ommgggg) to pork buns, to the outstanding chocolate dessert. And after we were all stuffed, the bill came in under $230. For four people with drinks. Don’t think, go.

Great drinks (we order their Long Island iced tea). I recommend the gyoza (a little spicy) and the shrimp tempura to start. The teriyaki sauce is delicious and I like to have it with the beef tenderloin but the lamb rack was also great. For sides, the truffle parmesan fries, mushroom & onion, and the vegetable fried rice – sooooo good! For dessert, the chocolate lava cake and the caramel ice cream were my favorites! We loved our meal and the service was excellent 🙂

We really enjoyed the food, very good not to pricey. The ambient setting made me feel more relaxed. I am a heavier person so the wider chairs were really nice. It was busy has we went on a Saturday night so service was a little slow, other than that we really enjoyed ourselves and would do it again
