We enjoyed a nice birthday lunch for my wife today. We both had the Shogun lunch special. For $12.95 you get steak, chicken and shrimp with soup and salad. Food and service was great. We got the fried rice with our meal for a small up charge and boy was it good.

My husband and I first tried this place using the coupon from the Entertainment Book. We have been back several times since then, and this is the first Japanese steakhouse my daughter has liked; she likes her food very well seasoned. The service is always very friendly. We always order a sushi roll for an appetizer, and the waitress brings it right out. The teppanyaki chefs are entertaining, they are sarcastic but it is part of the show. The food is actually less expensive than all other Japanese steakhouses I have been too. And the portions are huge, we always have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The food is just plain good. I have ordered the steak and lobster a few times, I have ordered the steak and scallops, and my husband always orders the steak and chicken. Everything is always cooked perfectly and very well seasoned. I highly recommend this place. Oh yeah, my daughter loves the shrimp, the scallops, and the lobster.

Its amazing you can find fish that tastes like it was caught just-this-morning here in Kansas. Shogun Steak & Sushi’s fish doesn’t though. Not bad, but the sashimi was a little fishier than I was expecting. Service was nice though. Good, not great

Food was pretty good. If you want the hibachi experience, advise calling for a reservation. We went on a Saturday evening at about 6:30 and it was booked until 8, but we took a regular table and still got the hibachi style meal, just no show. Fried rice was good, the noodles however weren’t as good.

I came in late Sunday evening for a rendezvous with a beautiful woman. We got sake and sushi and it was ON from there. Beautiful venue with an intimate vibe. The staff are patient and believe me we tested their patience. Sushi is always a good option and I would recommend this place if you find yourself in this part of the world.
