Stopped here with my husband on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The place was almost completely empty at 8am, so we were able to sit right away. It took a few minutes for the waitress to come to our table but I think she was the only person there. I ordered the Italian omelet with home fries and a biscuit and it was amazing. The biscuit nearly melted in my mouth. My husband had 3 scrambled eggs and bacon. The only reason I couldn’t at least give a 4.5 star review was because it was freezing! It has been uncharacteristically cold for our area, so its possible the restaurant’s heating system had trouble keeping up. But otherwise it was a good experience.

We have visited this place 2xs and had delicious meals both times. Sandee our server took our order without writing anything down, and it was correct! Very impressive and states how knowledgeable she is with the menu.
Small place with a comfortable charm, food was cooked to order, my omlette was perfect, I akso had a Pecan Cranberry pancake, you can get 1, 2 or 3 pancakes, they are huge, so you will take leftovers home. My husband had the 2-2-2 with sweet potato pancakes, also delicious. This gem is tucked away, so don’t drive by without stopping in to try, you won’t be disappointed.

On The Way Cafe is a solid, standard dining experience. You know what you’re gonna get, and it’s pretty good.
We met with some friends while visiting the beach. We had a big party with several young kids and the staff was amazing. They were very kind and cordial and worked hard to make sure our large group was seated and taken care of.
As breakfast continued, the Sunday morning rush filled in. Service slowed but continued.
The food scratched the diner itch. However, the eggs Benedict were essentially hard boiled.
This is a great place to come and enjoy good company with friendly service, with some food that is fine.

Highly recommend the Chesapeake Fries & coconut shrimp…. Never getting either somewhere else EVER again!!! Very welcoming staff & delicious food… mashed potatoes, corn pudding, meatloaf!!! We will definitely be back! In fact, today we are ordering lunch for work right now! Keep up the amazing work!

Ordered breakfast and lunch in one order over the phone which was quick and easy. We got two breakfast burritos with bacon and a chicken cheesesteak (made with real chicken breast yum!), all of which were really good!
The serving sizes are big, the ingredients were all fresh and the order was accurate.

We stopped here as we were on vacation. The food was amazing and the portions are big. Our waitress, I believe her name was Marie was one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had. The food came out quick and was hot. We ate dinner and lunch here. The pasta alfredo with chicken and sausage was one of the best things I’ve ever ate. I can’t wait to come back here again next year!

Solid breakfast. Possibly the best I had all week. There is something to be said for a small well done menu. If you’re looking for a clean, tasty, quality family owned food establishment, then this is your spot.
I was hungry when I went on and did not photo the food, it was dinner fare, presented as such, you can’t photo taste!
Only suggestion… Copper cheese in your grits, and a pinch of salt. Still solid grits!

Stopped here on our way to Ocean City. Unbelievably amazing! Hit every spot imaginable. Crab balls were so good I would literally drive across the country to get them from here again. Staff is super friendly; the place gives off a small town/local diner vibe you see in the movies. So full I hope I don’t crash or laugh too hard because I’d pop like a balloon!
