Antojitos chapines” refers to traditional Guatemalan snacks or street foods (literally “little Guatemalan cravings”) that are typically eaten outside of formal meals.

Important note: employees only speak Guatemalan so there is a language barrier when ordering even if you speak Spanish.

The music was kinda annoying

Food was delicious

A nice little piece of guatemala in the portland area. Very quick service and super nice staff. I just asked for platanos con frijoles y crema. To drink I had an atole. They have music in the background, everything was clean and just as requested. Will be back when in the area.

They’re pretty busy in the morning. I love their food for the most part. They started to make micheladas and they’re amazing. The only thing I didn’t love was the wait time after we ordered it was about 30+min to get our food.

Delicious and authentic. My foster child is from Guatamala and he said the food there was the real deal. I didn’t have a single thing I didn’t like.

I’ve ordered take-out pupusas numerous times & always had a good experience; always with one particular older female who has always been exceptional despite the language barrier. Unfortunately, Sunday, my family & I decided to dine in (she wasn’t there) & had the worst dining experience ever!
Being that my husband is of Hispanic race himself, there was no reason for any language misunderstandings.
First off, we waited a long time for our drinks; mostly water with 3-4 pieces of tiny ice cubes floating on top. My husband finally got his water when food was served; no ice, had to wait another 15 min or so for 5 tiny ice cubes. Almost an hour later when our food was finally served, they gave us an extra dish that wasn’t ordered, messed up on 2 orders & husbands order was missing. At that point, he voiced his frustration to them, but they still didn’t get replaced order right! Waiter had an attitude & couldn’t care less!
We told them we’ll just take his order to go. Waitress made so many mistakes on food order which I had to dispute with the cashier, who thankfully was pleasant.

Garnachas and empanadas were on the burned side and had no flavor… also they charge you a fee for using your debit card.

Highly recommend. It was really busy on the weekends, so service was not great but the food is worth the wait. I had the breakfast and a chuchito. They were out of rellenitos so I didn’t try them. Will go back again to try more items.

Not the same as it used to be We had garnachas and chiles rellenos.
Positive – tortillas and tamarindo.
Neutral – garnachas. Needed more salt and flavor.
Negative – chiles rellenos, beans and rice. Barely any meat on the chiles rellenos and they lacked flavor. The rice was very plain and had no added veggies like the traditional Guatemalan rice. The beans, not sure how you can mess these up but they did. I’m not sure if they added something or if something was missing but they were not right. Overall disappointing and pricey.

I’ve been eating here for over a year now, and every single item I have tried has been delicious. My favorite things to order are the breakfast, caldo de gallina, tamales de puerco, paches and their hilachas.
