Great place to eat! I was driving up north and randomly stopped here. The food was AMAZING. Had the 12 oz ribeye which came with green beans, baked potato, toast, and a salad. The steak was cooked perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a better meal. I will definitely be coming back.

Wow, what an incredible dinner at Hobo Bar and Grill! Hands down, this was the best prime rib I’ve ever eaten—perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Tim, the owner, is absolutely doing it right, creating a welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The service was stellar, with attentive and friendly staff who made the experience even better. This place is now my new favorite spot! If you’re in Newfolden, Minnesota, you have to stop by for a meal and a drink. Hats off to the chef and the entire team for an unforgettable dining experience! Highly recommended!!!!

Did research on this place for Valentine’s day. All the reviews said it was good. I checked out the Facebook page and found Valentine’s day special for 2 with pricing at $89.99. it seemed like a good meal option for my husband and I. We drove all the way from Grand Forks to this restaurant and brought our kids ages 12 & 14. When we arrived we were informed they were only serving the special and there wouldn’t be an option for our children to purchase the meals on the list without doing the entire special. This was not listed on the Facebook page. Not wanting to spend over $200 for our meal we paid for our drinks and left. We ended up going to somewhere in Thief River Falls where we had an excellent meal with an appetizer for the price it would have cost 2 of us to eat at the Hobo. I won’t make the mistake of driving one hour to this restaurant ever again.

I ordered the inferno hot wings they came with feathers, absolutely disgusting (unless you like your wings with feathers still). My crispy chicken salad they sent tarter sauce or something when I had ordered ranch. Burgers were ok, fries, onions rings were ok, mozzarella sticks ok they didn’t send sauce though had to go back and ask.

2 for 2! Going to be 3 for 3 soon. Saturday steak night is a hit. Got the New York strip steak both times and man it is delicious. Kudos to the cooks, temp perfect grill marks look great and tastes even better with the side of green beans yum! If you haven’t tried it I would suggest you try it. Ribeye is next!

Quite possibly the best burger I have ever eaten. Drinks were stiff, and the ice was cold. Can’t wait to try some more of the grub off of the menu. The wife also picked up a nice-looking hoodie sweatshirt from “The Hobo.”
