The tteokbokki (Rose, original) were excellent. The seating area is clean and spacious, and the overall cafe is very well maintained. The only downside was we asked for water because the tteokbokki was hot. They refused to give water, stating that there was a water fountain in the mall. When we asked for cups to go get water from that fountain, they refused. We ended up having to buy a water bottle from the cafe too. Hoping this doesn’t happen to other customers.

Really clean, nice space with a ton of seating area from tables to circular sofas. There’s also a good amount of food options from bakery to hot food to drinks. This is a nice place to chill after shopping at the supermarket.

Lena helped us with our order and was super nice. Honestly lit up the whole place and would love to come here again because of her kindness and service.

Bought this mango cake for my friend’s birthday, and everybody LOVED it!! With thin slices, it served about 20 people. The frosting and cake were both light and airy, and weren’t too dense on the sugar. It was a refreshing treat 🙂 they also provided 8 candles and a large plastic knife to cut the cake with.

My first time here, the entrance was a little annoying. They have a door on the outside, but you can’t go in that way. It doesn’t say you can’t go in that way either. From inside the market you can go in but you can’t bring in the cart which is annoying if you just finished shopping. I didn’t want to bring the stuff in the car and go back in.
After kind of pushing my way through, which everyone else was doing, why I’m not sure. It was rude, like we’re all going in for the same thing but whatever.
There wasn’t a huge selection, but it was enough to keep everyone happy. They had grab and go pastries and cake slices that you lined up for, and they also had coffees and teas.
This is a list of the items I tried:

1. Bake plain sulpang – My cousin told me that this was so good and tasted like a baked puto. When I tried it, it was ok. Nothing special. It was like the top of a sourdough bread and nothing great on the inside.

2. Strawberry sulpang – This had strawberry cream on the inside and a strawberry on top. This was my favorite. It was lightly sweet and didn’t taste like artificial strawberries.

3. Ganschu chocolate cake – light and not too sweet. I was torn between this and mango.

4. Mango slice – Mango is always my go-to, and this wasn’t bad. It was light

5. Carrot cake – This I do not recommend. The cake part was so dry it was inedible.

It was a pretty good experience. I can’t wait to come back and try more items. I wanted to try the chocolate covered madelines. I saw they were the only one’s that were untouched. For $4 each, I can see why.

I ordered with my mom, got a basic Egg Salad sandwich. My order was order 189, they took so long because they forgot my order and didn’t print a ticket. Family ate before me because it took them 30 minutes to slap some eggs between barely toasted bread, didn’t comp, didn’t apologize, and the order number that got called right before I had to ask them was 205. Worst service, nothing done to mediate situation, and for the price of it? Terrible. I attached a picture of this miserable piece of work, and the workers just watched me stand there like an idiot as everyone else for their stuff since they FORGOT mine. Also it was 80% potatoes, barely egg…lol

I have worked as a hostess and waitress before, you mess something up you offer a refund, something extra, and try to fix the situation. I thought this place was going to be great given it’s new, and a great addition to the Asian community for food/groceries. Maybe the rest of the place will
make up for a bakery so mid.

I guess coming back from Asia opened my eyes to lower expectations here.

Went during opening weekend & the shelves were all empty. I felt bad for the guy with trays of cupcakes bc he could never make it to the shelf before getting swarmed by customers. A lady working there was very nice & brought some to me bc I was waiting & could never get one the bread they bake here is very interesting! It’s made of rice flour, so it’s got a light flavor that’s kind of bouncy. The drinks were nice but a bit odd the cold ones came in paper cups. Wait a bit until the hype dies down though, I haven’t seen much variety yet.

We got the mango cake which was definitely overbaked. The inside was quite dry despite the whipped cream being very good. A more moist cake would really do the trick! The ambiance and staff were excellent though.

The team gave us a cake knife and some candles which were great!

Absolutely appalled by Basquia Bakery’s complete disregard for food safety.
Paid $7.50 for two pastries that were clearly days old – the Small Baked Plain was hard and inedible, while the Black Sesame Injeolmi had ROTTEN custard that was genuinely unsafe to consume. This isn’t just stale bread – this is spoiled dairy that could make someone seriously sick.

To make matters worse, their $6 “Black Sesame Magic” drink is nothing but cheap powder mixed with water, served in a tiny cup. The fancy storefront, fancy looking pastries are purely deceptive – they’re charging premium prices for substandard products while putting customers’ health at risk.

No legitimate bakery sells spoiled pastries with rotten filling. The fact that they’re trying to pass this off as fresh shows a complete lack of professional integrity and raises serious concerns about their food safety protocols. STAY AWAY until they completely overhaul their standards!
