Being a vegetarian, it can be sometimes tricky finding the options and at the same time taste as well. However, to my surprise, I had an amazing experience here. I was greeted by Ramesh who took really good care of us. I was craving for Gol-gappe which they had it in non veg, however chef accommodated my request and made veg gol gappe. I was very pleased with that. Then i ordered masala dosa which was massive and very filling. I must say the flavours were on point exactly the way they should be. Thank you so much Ramesh and team for this wonderful dining experience. Loved it, and if you are a 90’s Indian kid, u would love the music, felt nostalgic after listening to those songs which were forgotten in the hustle bustle.

Absolutely phenomenonal!
The food was so nice and tasty. The staff is so polite and helpful. Not a big menu to confuse you but rather nice decent dish they have are just enough to give an experience!
100 percent i recommend it! Coming from Brighton and needing a nice delicious food this place is best of choice.

This is my 1st experience of Indian food not knowing what to expect….. I was absolutely amazed by the food ( I don’t do spicy) and the butter chicken was out of this world and the other half had the lamb which he loved
We’ve already made our minds up about visiting again when we are back down to the imperial hotel for new year

Fabulous restaurant with attentive and genuinely friendly service. The food was excellent, and they catered for both vegetarian and gluten-free requests without any trouble.
We’ve visited twice in the past month while in Torquay staying with family, and each time the experience has been wonderful. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back again soon. Thank you!

Absolutely gorgeous food, and my husband said it was the best vindaloo he’d ever had! We were just visiting but can’t wait to go back. The staff were lovely and friendly too and the proprietor chatted to us and made us feel extremely welcome. An all round lovely experience and would totally recommend.

Unfortunately the food was a big let down. The rice was lovely and also the sauces on the main dishes, but the meat was terrible, we had a lamb dish and a chicken dish, both were very tough, especially the chicken. The naan bread was also, in my opinion under cooked and doughy.
We also had to wait almost an hour to have our main order taken.
The staff were very polite and smiley. Overall I don’t think after this visit, I would eat here again.

Best curry ever. Went two nights on the trot! ‘Pardon the pun’! . I had… The ‘Goan’ beef vindaloo! Melt in your mouth bite size chunks of beef. So tender,…no knife needed! Spicy…but not stupid hot, so you can actually taste the food. Loved it.
Also had grilled prawns, rice, and a mixed dish, which was also 1st class. Couldn’t fault this place.
We went early, 5 30ish, so was very quiet. The staff were friendly, and attentive.
Very clean in every aspect.
The leather chairs were extremely comfortable.
We had a beer/wine, and our bill was approx £45!

We visited with our family on weekend and I can say that, this is probably the best Indian Restaurant in Devon. We ordered different dishes, so we can share. Every dish was authentic and tasted excellent and full of flavors. Nice presentation and good portion as well. Restaurant décor is nicely done with luxury ambience and overall, it was worth the visit. A must visit if you are in Torquay.

Absolutely loved our experience at East in the West! The food was perfect – full of authentic flavors and beautifully presented. What made it even more special was the owner’s incredible hospitality – such a warm and genuinely kind person. The ambiance is also top-notch – cozy, welcoming, and well thought out.
