We were in town and looking for a good place to eat and excited to try this joint, with a 4.4 star rating. We’ve always had good food in Madison and even though we wanted to get home after a long day, we thought it would be worth the delay.

Unfortunately, this time, it wasn’t worth it. I feel like it’s time and money wasted. I’ll get to details, but I’m mainly basing this review on the quality of the food I received.

Before getting to the food, our service was great. Our server was a bit slow considering there were only 3 tables (including us) occupied. Or it’s more of a relaxed atmosphere, so she was just giving us a lot of time to look over the menu. But aside from that, she was friendly, helpful, and kind.

Atmosphere is on the dark side. There are two screens to play games (golf, etc) on two corners of the building. I think there are plenty of options, but we were mainly in for food, and didn’t really get much info on the games. I did ask whether they were run on a reservation basis, and the hostess (who was also our server) said yes. She didn’t mention any pricing, so I’m not sure what the details on that is.

Margarita special $5
This was great. Not overly sweet, and just the right amount of booze. It came in a whiskey cup rather than a margarita one.

3sheep chaos pattern on draft
Price for draft beer is not cheap, and the beer was great. The glass it came in was super clean, but also warm. I think it just came out of the dishwasher… So clean, but beer glasses should be cold on principle.

Wings
The description says these are baked, and then fried before tossed in their sauce. The sauce is yummy. The wings are a fairly large size. But I think they forgot to fry it. The skin on the wings weren’t at all crispy, but kinda mushy. The meat was well cooked, but also on the dry side. The celery sticks and carrot rings on the side were super fresh and crispy.

Blind burger with side salad
I ordered it done medium. It came out very well done. For a wagyu, it lacked fat content, and cooked for too long, so it was very dry. We had just hiked 4 hours at Devil’s Lake and quite hungry, but I couldn’t finish it. Seasoning was great though. And the side salad was also very fresh.

Brussels sprouts
Something I haven’t done in the last 15 years… I had to ask them to redo it. It came out with underdone Brussels. Interestingly, after I asked them to heat it up more for me, it came out perfect, with the right amount of searing on all the cut sides.

Overall, it feels like the kitchen was having a bad day and bad timing – wings needed to get in the fryer for longer, burger should’ve been out of the pan sooner, Brussels should’ve stayed in longer.

For the prices I paid, I expect better food. Especially since the kitchen knows how to fix their stuff! It was like they put 70% into all the dishes until I spoke up.

Would I go back? Nope. Not convinced that the 4.4 rating is justified for me.

Me and my boyfriend went here for Valentine’s Day. I made a reservation for this place a month in advance, so I was excited about going here because I heard great things about this place. Unfortunately, I was very very disappointed. We started off with drinks, I had a N/A cocktail and that was fine. However, my boyfriend’s drink came out to him and it had a gnat in it. I showed the server and he said he would fix it. He brings another drink out with no issues. We proceed to order food. Mind you it was only 4 tables of people in the restaurant and every dish we ordered came out COLD!!! Like they just took it out the refrigerator. I nibbled it then we ask for togo containers (this way we can go home and reheat our food to a normal temperature). We ask for the bill and this man still charged us for the bug drink until I asked if he would make us pay for it. He did take it off but it seems like he had an attitude about it. It felt like once we found the bug in the drink they intentionally made the rest of our night worse. It was the WORST Valentines Day ever. I was soooooo disappointed and we will NEVER be dinning there again.

Great Vibes at Blind Shot Social Club!
Awesome spot for a fun night out—delicious food, a solid beer selection, and the virtual golf setup is top-notch. Whether you’re there to play or just hang out, it’s a great time. Highly recommend!

The food here is absolutely delicious, and I will be back for brunch, but the service experience needs serious improvement.

Service was friendly, but painfully slow. We ordered two coffees and four mimosas, which took about 20 minutes to arrive. After placing our food order, things slowed down even more. Our meals came out roughly 40 minutes later. This was especially frustrating given that the restaurant wasn’t very busy at the time (about three tables leaving and three arriving while we were there).

What made it worse was the lack of urgency or acknowledgment. The staff didn’t seem particularly concerned about the delays, which took away from what otherwise could have been a great experience.

That said, the food was outstanding and absolutely worth returning for. If service improves or you’re not in a rush, this could be a fantastic brunch spot.

We got the Friday fish fry and the pimento cheeseburger, fish was good but undercooked probably because they were busy. Our food took a very long time. Coleslaw wasn’t good in my opinion. Fries were great. Beer was great. Atmosphere is great. Burger was great. Would consider coming back but probably not for dinner and not when they’re busy

We had a great Saturday night outing with friends at the Blind Shot Social Club. The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and accommodating for everyone’s dietary needs. The drink menu is extensive and well designed. There are great traditional and non-alcohol options. We loved the cozy and vintage glamorous vibe. To make this establishment really unique is their virtual golf booths. We did not partake on this visit, but the booths were nice and thoughtfully set up. There is outdoor seating and off street parking. We will definitely go back.

What a great spot! Didn’t try the golf but randomly ended up here on movie trivia night and love it. Had the slider flight and they were great. Menu is what you might expect from a bar but all elevated. Absolutely coming again. Bonus points, the owner, Brent, is a great guy and appreciate anyone who can hold this place down while being a firefighter. Worth a stop!

Got in on a Tuesday and was able to basically have any seat I wanted. I was waited on quickly and the service was very attentive they gave me enough time to look over the menu and figure out what I wanted. I got a wedge salad with tofu and it was a good wedge. The tofu could have used a bit more flavor but that is the only knock I would give it. Everything else tasted fresh and had good flavor. The place has a good overall vibe and seems fun when it has more people there.

We did not try the golf simulation for our first time there but it looked fun!

We did, however, try their food! We had the fancy pigs in a blanket, blind shot burger, and bison sliders. Overall, the food was decent. Personally, I felt the pigs in a blanket were too salty/sweet. I liked that they tried putting a spin on pigs in a blanket but it didn’t quite work for me. Unfortunately, the blind shot burger was pretty mediocre – especially for $18. Allegedly, it includes wagyu beef but it tastes like a common beef patty. Nothing special there. The sliders were our favorite! Would recommend those for a meal or a snack. Also, the vibes were really nice in there! It’s kinda of like a colorful minimalism meets camping? Or golf I guess. Anyway, it’s nice!

We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding welcome party at Blind Shot and everything was absolutely perfect! We rented out the whole space, everyone loved the food and drinks, and they even came up with a custom menu based on what we were looking for. Would highly recommend for a private event. Michelle was super friendly and helpful and everyone had a great time at the party.
