For an Italian place in North Carolina, it’s actually pretty good, especially the pastry section. The food is an adaptation, but it’s not bad at all. We had eggplant Parmesan, a focaccia, and an aragostela.
Nice service!
I recommend it if you are any to haw a TASTE of real Italy!

We’d love it if it had an outdoor terrace so we could be there with the dogs.

I got the chicken parmesan through delivery and thought it was pretty good. But when I went into the store & ordered again, I realized they heated the chicken parmesan up in the microwaved then put on a panini press with the bread.

For $14, I don’t want microwave food. I don’t use a microwave. So for me – I won’t be ordering again. I feel like they can do better than that. The marinara sauce was good though. I don’t think the sauce should be extra though – it should come with it!!

I won’t say the food is bad but I think awareness in what you’re paying for is important. When we don’t call things out as an issue, business don’t feel like they should change anything to keep business.

My bf and I always come here, never once has it disappointed. We’ve had our orders taken by different people at different times we’ve went and each time is always great! He gets a turkey sandwich, which is always fresh, and I get a chicken parmesan sub with extra marinara sauce. I do end up getting fries as well because they are just SO good. And Root beer too! We aren’t ones for small talk, so it’s nice to get our food quickly and hot, that way we can just carry it out. The dessert is great too, I get the napoleon and he gets the peanut butter cheesecake. I have to save the other half of my sandwich for later because the portions are plenty. I see why they are usually busy at lunch! (I go around 2pm or early before lunch to avoid waiting long).

The first time I went, I had a pasta salad. It was good, but I didn’t want anything cold at the moment, so that skewed my rating. Nothing on them, just on me.

The second time I went I got exactly what I wanted and it tasted great. I had to add some salt to the sandwich but enjoyed it overall.

The restaurant is small and the parking lot is small with few spots because it shares the same plot as two other businesses. They’re busy during lunch time, so keep that in mind if that’s when you want to go.

First time there yesterday I got a hot Capo Italian sub. I call it a grinder from where I come from. It was excellent. I bought a bunch of meatballs to take home. Included them in some of my sauce tonight.
The meatballs were excellent!
Next time I go there I’m doubling my order getting two grinders and 16 Meatballs. Highly recommend this place.

Dioli’s Italian Market is one of those rare spots that never misses. I keep going back for the homemade cookies — the peanut butter is ridiculous, the amaretto chocolate chip is elite, and the iced ginger + decorated sugar cookies are the kind you “accidentally” eat three of.

Stopped in today for a roast beef sandwich and it was perfect — fresh, stacked, zero fuss. Last week’s lasagna? Same story. Consistent, comforting, and absolutely worth the drive out Reynolda Road.

If you want old-school Italian done right, this is it.

My daughter and I stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. We shared a grilled chicken sandwich, mozzarella and tomato salad, Italian meatballs, and chocolate brownie cheese cake. Everything was delicious.

The wait staff was friendly and helpful making suggestions for things we should try. I noticed some yummy pastries on the counter and asked what they were. The young lady said they were Italian doughnuts and gave us one to try. They were amazing!

This is a very welcoming place with plenty of options to choose from. I am planning to stop by again so I can try more of their desserts. Is a great place to meet a friend for coffee or lunch.

We came here because of a personal recommendation from friends who RAVED about this place (and we were bolstered by the 5-star reviews we read on Google Maps). We came on a Friday morning, around brunchish, excited and looking forward to going out of our way to visit this local joint. We *told* the employee behind the counter that we were first-timers, that we were so excited, that we’d heard great things. No other customers were present, so it wasn’t as though we were distracting him from pressing sales.

We asked, “What’s good here?”

We were met with a very annoyed look and a monotone, “Everything’s good here.”

I get it–sometimes people have bad days. There are usually elements of peoples’ lives that bleed into work to varying degrees.

So we forged on, politely probing him for more information. He seemed very offended when I asked if he could heat up the eggplant parmesan that was sitting in the cold case. He wasn’t particularly proud of anything on the menu, and he seemed offended that we had questions about the menu.

And he seemed ESPECIALLY offended when we asked about the dessert case. This really bothered me from a professional standpoint. NONE of the desserts had prices on them, so I asked, “How much is this pistachio cake slice?”

He gave me another annoyed, deadpan look and said, “Everything in the case is between 5 and 6 dollars.”

Dude. You can’t be bothered to write little signs to communicate the price to me, and then you can’t be bothered to just tell me? You expect all of your customers to just blindly buy your food without any information about how much you’re charging for your products?

Why? Why is this the standard?

We wanted to support this business and give it an honest shot, so we went ahead and ordered a berry tart slice. We also order three sandwiches.

The tart? It was fine. A little too sweet, and a little stale tasting, as though it’d been out in the air a bit too long. And it was $6.50!! So the price “quote” from him was a lie! Why?! So overpriced for what you get.

The eggplant parmesan sandwich? Also just fine. Average. Not worth over $8. I am an eggplant lover, and I was just kind of unimpressed because of the thickness of the breading around the eggplant.

The roast beef? Unexpectional. Not bad, but not a star. You can get it at an Arby’s or a supermarket without paying the premium from here.

The breakfast sandwich? It was fine; also not really noteworthy.

Presentation was pretty for all four items; well-wrapped and nice looking.

I understand that you’re a small business that probably isn’t experiencing a strong customer base right now. I wish our experience had been better because we really came in prepared to be massive fans and return all the time.

What a bummer.

Hoagies are amazing! Great bread, premium meats and cheeses balanced to perfection. Roast beef is made in house! I cant wait to try their breakfast burritos next time I go.
