This is a new restaurant in Progreso, on the International Malecon, and it is absolutely perfect. The location, the view, the design, the atmosphere are all beautiful, the service is excellent, and the food is fresh and tasty. The staff accomodated our every request, as we changed tables a couple of times trying to find the perfect spot. We had the Zal Marina Pulpo (Octopus) and the Mojo de Ajo Camaron (garlic shrimp) followed by desert, flan with pineapple, and triple chocolate cake. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection, and the octopus was probably the best we ever had. Thank you for a memorable afternoon, for the food, for your kindness and professionalism. We will return many times.

The restaurant began a ‘soft opening’ this week with a limited (breakfast and lunch) menu and limited hours (8:00 – 18:00). We live close by and will update our review as necessary over the coming weeks – but we hope that we will not have to. This restaurant, in its first week, met all of our high expectations and we hope it maintains this as it moves into full operating mode.
Try it – we loved it. In our opinion, not since Humo (now closed despite a 5* star rating) has Progreso had this kind of promising restaurant launch launch.
Breakfast on the terrace this morning was delightful, from the friendly receptionist to the manager to our wonderful waiter Francisco to the barrista to the servers – thank you for a wonderfully refreshing, new Progreso dining experience. Your building and ambience is a perfect complement to the International Maleçon.
We will be back this afternoon for our ‘foursies’ (4:00 p.m.) cocktail and our daily backgammon match.

What a vibe! This restaurant is gorgeous, I even took picture of the bathroom. The service was fantastic and the food was great! We took our 4 kids and they were totally welcomed. The Ceviche is to die for, and everything was a generous portion. Not too expensive, our kids had fries and gauc. Don’t hesitate to go!

We visited on a week day for lunch and were extremely pleased. The decor .. gorgeous, view of the water, the staff amazing… and the food was outstanding! We had the garlic shrimp and the garlic (mojo de ajo) fish.. both excellent.. the pulpo
(octopus) mojo de ajo, was the best my husband has ever eaten.. and he loves, and has eaten pulpo all around the world! The chef came out to chat with us, Paoula, our server was very professional and the coffees nice and hot as they should be. We have already made a reservation to return to this lovely establishment. At this time the restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch only but we were advised that they have plans to eventually add dinner as well.
The flan with pina compote was delish as well

Food was delicious and atmosphere is tranquil and classy. The shrimp avocado toast was amazing, the sourdough perfect and crispy with a soft center. The French toast was decadent, filled with Nutella. Our server Soraya (hope I am spelling that right) was quick and hospitable, she asked the chef to make us syrup with the French toast even though it didn’t come with the dish. We will be back

Stopped by here to have dinner and had a great experience. The food was excellent and the lobster taco was one of the best tacos I’ve ever had. My server was Paula and she was very sweet and attentive. Would definitely recommend coming here just for the lobster taco!

Great location! We went for breakfast. They accommodated my food allergies, I had just scrambled eggs. Little disappointed that avocado or guacamole wasn’t available until after 12pm for the lunch menu( unless you order avocado toast ♀️ ). Husband had the French toast, it looked amazing. The service was EXCELLENT. One of the first places dining when you notice that servers are professionally trained and from taking orders in the correct direction, placement to clearing, everything was outstanding. The view from the deck is breathtaking
