We went in today for lunch, it was slow. Riley the server was very polite and helpful. I ordered the steak tips, medium. After awhile we were told there were no mashed potatoes so we chose other sides, I git rice pilaf. When the food finally arrived, the tips were absolutely raw. We spoke with the server who was very apologetic and offered to submit an order for a side of tips cooked medium. What I got were three (3) small tips and they were still bloody raw inside.
Now, I can tolerate undercooked steak, but this was raw and it felt intentional.
We just paid and left, too bad because we wi t be going back until they get someone who knows how to cook. I just want to let them know how much he or she sucks at what they do.

I’ve been here a few times now and each time it was excellent. Great variety of choices on the menu. Had fish and chips last time and loved it – portion was massive! Fried pickles are a great choice for an appetizer. Large place with lots of room too.

Brought my mom over to hancock nh for mothers day to pick some tulips and I came across this place trying to find a good tavern and we came here and let me tell you it did NOT disappoint! Everything was sooo delicious and cooked perfect. Our server was sooo sweet and everyone was just so friendly. I plan on coming back very very soon.

One of my favorite places ever. Absolutely great food and drinks. Service is awesome. Have sat inside at the bar and outside on the deck. Kids love it. Typically we roll in from skiing but during the summer we go after being in the lake. I’ve tried almost every menu option and loved most of it. Pretzels are always a hit.
Downside: Gestapo like “two Manhattan only rule” which I disagree with. Otherwise it’s awesome.

Great atmosphere, there’s always seating we’ve never waited to get in ever. Big menu with many great options. Great kids menu. This time we got the soft baked pretzels with cheese sauce and it was incredible as always, we get it every time. Kids had baked haddock nuggets and fries and spaghetti, both looked very good. I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, The black and blue burger, I highly recommend it. The burger was cooked to perfection medium rare, the bun was excellent and the aioli was awesome on it. I added a couple of my onion rings on it and that was very good. Wife got the salmon Caesar salad and it looked great. Great local beer options on tap. Only complaint was they forgot my French onion soup but they had a big top come in and got slammed, which was fine because I had plenty to eat I was stuffed. We sat outside on the patio with a great view of the hillside golf hole.

Drinks ok. Not much Gluten Free. All items precooked so I couldn’t get anything baked. People and staff are friendly. Got the bloodmary was very good and had a salad as it was the safest bet.

Really enjoyed the steak tips and crispy fish taco (taco Tuesday). But the biggest surprise might have been the nacho appetiser with steak, veggies, and Mac & cheese. Delicious! Also received great service.

Typical tavern/golf course restaurant meaning a bit loud even in the back dining room. We had a brief wait despite empty tables which told me either the kitchen or waitstaff was overwhelmed. Server was very friendly. Food was delicious and hot but took forever. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our appetizer and then had our main entrees come out about 5 minutes later. The pretzels were chewy and warm with a nice bacon cheese dip. Fish and chips were crispy and delicious but I had to wait some 15 minutes to get tartar sauce. The special, a French onion steamed smash burger was delicious. Very moist with mozzarella and Swiss cheese in the middle and grilled onions on top. Food was delicious but we spent nearly 2 hours total at the establishment.

We just had a baby shower on Sunday and they were amazing! Food was great! Amanda was amazing very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to celebrate our friend and her new baby who is ready to come any day. Thank you Toll Booth tavern and your great people!
