I hadn’t heard of OSKAR SCOTs before a friend took me here, but it was definitely a good spot. The decorations are pleasant, and prices aren’t sky high. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the menu had plenty of attractive options. I settled on the wet burrito, although their breakfast plates looked excellent as well. The wet burrito was large without being too excessive, and the fresh onions and tomatoes on top gave it a little extra pizzazz. The sauce was nice and flavorful, and there was just enough cheese. I thought it was a good wet burrito, and my friend’s meal also looked great. I’d have no qualms over coming back and trying something new.

We always enjoy coming here. The laid back environment and good food keep us coming back for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Today Stacy and Michele were making sure I had everything I needed, even extra pickles. Btw try the pickle pizza! My husband loves the special burger and my kid the pancakes. The Italian sub is one of my favorite go to pickup orders but it is also great eating in. The pizza is probably my favorite in the area, love the crust and sauce. My husband said their Hawaiian is the best he has ever had.
Check them out if you are ever in the area!

The atmosphere here is very colorful. All the walls have vibrant murals that look great. It has a very warm feeling to it all.
I ordered a very unique burger, the Babble Burger ($22). This Burger has local beef, ham steak, bacon, 3 cheeses, fried egg, gravy, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions on a Brioche bun. If you love Biscuits and Gravy, this might be for you. For me it was a little too much. The individual parts all seemed very good, just a miss for me. Plus at $22 a pricey burger. They do not have Pepsi or Coke, they have Brix soda. I got Root Beer, because I find that it’s usually more stable across independent brands. However it was a miss for me and was below average, though not bad.
The service was excellent. Very friendly and happy.
Overall a 3 star review. It was an interesting experience for me. Would I return? Probably would give their breakfast a chance, but wouldn’t return for the burger. I really did enjoy the murals and service, so I might come back to see if I can raise the rating.

It’s less like going to a restaurant and more like going to a loved family home. The hand painted walls are warm, the size is cozy, it’s clean, the staff are truly your friend, and the food is delightful. It’s great home cooked fare made with love. It’s worth a trip at least once if you’re within 50 miles.

Discovered this locsl gem, while in town for business. Met the owner who shared the personal history behind the name OSKAR Scots, as well as the history of their Philly Cheesesteak. Having lived in Center City for a year Philly, the challenge was accepted. Pleasantly surprised to find such a great Cheesesteak tucked away in the outskirts of Grand Rapids, MI. Two thumbs up and yes, it is a damn good sandwich. Wait staff was both friendly and attentive, checking back frequently enough and yet feeling rushed out.
Attached is a photo of half, as I split the order with a coworker as to avoid food coma due to a busy afternoon.

Thank you Randy and staff for the delicious food and great service. There were 17 of us in our group for dinner and no complaints. Randy gave us a little history lesson on how the restaurant name came about. Beautiful murals in the walls and each mural has a special meaning.

Went there this morning for breakfast. I got the biscuits and gravy and had them add a couple over easy eggs on top and a side of bacon. My wife got the ham and cheese omelette with sourdough toast. Both of our meals were amazing. The biscuits were fresh and soft, the gravy was probably the best I’ve ever had. The side of bacon was probably a half pound. Very good food, very big portions, very good service. We will definitely be back!
