My family and I are longtime customers of our local El Sol Mexican Restaurant in downtown Rodeo! The food is always excellent and we enjoy going to our local Mexican Restaurant after attending our local Church at St. Patrick Church on Saturdays. We especially love the Chalupa, Chicken Enchiladas Dinner Plate, and their Super Burritos (Prawns). There are other dishes, as well, that I think others will love. A very unique place to dine in downtown old Rodeo. The Restaurant also supports its local Community in a number of Community Events.

The potatoes and cheese has been altered to a different taste that takes away the authenticity of this order. They are adding some paprika to them changing the original taste and color of the potatoes and you can’t taste the celery and onions that use to be visible. Please stick to the original recipe. Take that paprika out.

Decent burrito — with shredded chicken it’s a soft and squishy burrito which is great if that’s what you’re looking for. Only refried beans, unfortunately; black or whole pinto would be nice options. Chips are okay, but they give you a lot of them. Service is prompt, sufficient, and efficient. I feel like I didn’t order particularly well, but I got what I normally get. I’d go back, but maybe not before trying other nearby options.

Love this place! Got the super carnitas burrito and it’s the best one I’ve gotten in a LONG time! No skimping on salsa/all condiments plentiful and yummy homemade chips. Was hungry so ate before thought of taking pic, it’s big but not ridiculous and super reasonably priced

The food was so so. I got steak fajitas. The steak was salty and chewy. The beans need some salt. I paid over $8.00 for chips and salsa. The lady who took my order was not very welcoming.
