Did 4 back to back taste tests on North Shore roast beef and the others don’t come close to Alex’s roast beef. Fine sliced beef, great flavor and zero, I mean zero fat in the beef. Also great roll. Dave Portnoy scored of 9.9 is legit. Tip- don’t bother with Nicks or Jamie’s roast beef.

The roast beef sandwiches are warm, tender, tasty… literally one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. One of the seven wonders of the food world. If you’re a foodie (like me) and have never had a roast beef sandwich from the North Shore, go out of your way to try one. It’s nothing like the boars head crap you get in the rest of the world. Fries were great too. I didn’t try the pizza.

Alex’ Roast beef shop is one of the finest on the north shore. For the size of the shop, it is immaculately clean, the food is simply exceptional. The people who work there are wonderful. We are from the West Coast, where finding a decent sandwich or sub is like finding a needle in a haystack. We are here every year visiting family and always make a point to go to Alex’s. The girls at the front are friendly and sweet, and the food is top-notch! My husband had roast beef on an onion roll, and I swear there was at least 3″ of beef on there! I had a BLT sub that was STUFFED with bacon!! We’ve always been impressed with Alex’s and will continue to go back. We highly recommend visiting!!

Veggie wrap is absolute slop. Looks like all the veggies were just steamed and not actually sautéed/cooked. Terrible food item that should be removed off the menu. Also, wait times are ridiculous for a Tuesday morning.

My fiancé and I were looking for a place to eat after a hike in the area and came across this place and wow! We were super impressed. The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. I got a small pepperoni pizza and my fiancé got the roast beef 3 way and both meals were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Alex’s roast beef and seafood! My only complaint is I wish I was closer to where I lived, otherwise I’d be a regular

Absolute joke, worst pizza I have ever eaten. Cheese wasn’t even melted and no Buffalo sauce on the Buffalo finger pizza. And don’t even get me started on the BBQ chicken pizza, I took one bite and spit it out. Who puts James River on a BBQ chicken pizza with pizza sauce too!?!?!? Wouldn’t even feed this trash to my dog. 0/10

My sister took me here several weeks ago due to my love of roast beef and fries. I loved the unique approach to the roast beef sandwich. The sauce was delicious! I also enjoyed the Greek fries with the feta cheese. I would gladly go back here the next time I’m in the area.
