The restaurant is pleasant with good food in a rustic setting. The menu, authentic oven and prices indicate a premium experience and though it was pleasant enough it didn’t quite achieve the promise. The pizza was fantastic yet overpriced. The pastas had decent flavor yet lacked some of the toothsome bite you expert from perfectly prepared dishes in Manhattan. The vodka sauce was fine but I would’ve like more cream and the cacio e Pepe needed more oomph. There is no liquor license so you are welcome to BYOB with no corkage fees so that is a huge plus for dining in but from a takeout standpoint there may be some better options to get you your Italian fix at a more reasonable price.

This is probably the best pizza outside of Brooklyn. If you dine in, the free bread and oil/balsamic dip alone is worth it.

Hot tips:
– Make a reservation if it’s summertime or you will be waiting
– BYOB or non alcoholic drinks
– they do not serve tap water (only still and sparkling) maybe BYOWater
– some evenings there is an exercise class that happens in the floor above and all you will hear is pounding, hence 4 star review

We have visited twice now. Both times the food has been great and the service warm and friendly. Last night our group tried 3 apps and 3 pizzas and everyone liked everything. Great, crispy wood fired Neapolitan edge crusts, and no soggy middles! Nice atmosphere as well.

Their basic margarita always hits the spot when craving coal fired pizza, but ordered the $17 Greek salad for takeout (I’ve enjoyed it in person before) only received 1/4 of a cucumber, 5 chickpeas and two pepperoncini slices… very disappointing all around, there’s not even protein. Stick to dining in but on off peak nights for better service

We had pizza and pasta dishes, which both were delicious. I was miffed they charge for water, but I presume it’s because they are BYOB, so charging water must offset the lost revenue of alcohol sales. We ate on the patio, which I found to be cute, but would have preferred tables with chairs over picnic tables.

Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and id recommend this place if you’re in the area and looking for good Italian food.

Ordered Squid Pasta with Shrimp. They call it a specialty. Unbelievably terrible. Absolutely TASTELESS! 100x worse than what I tasted in Venice. Ironically, they call themselves ‘authentic Italian restaurant’. Got robbed $32. Please avoid (at least this dish). The bread was fine though.

You’ll find a simple yet delightful selection of traditional Italian fare at this pizza restaurant located in Monroe Center for the Arts. We have dined here with friends a few times now and each time walked away impressed and mentally noting the menu items we should try the next time we visit. The place is kids’ favorite, too, as they can always count on getting thin crust Nutella pizza here. You are always welcome to bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal. And if you didn’t bring one from home there is a nice wine store literally next door.

Been here on a couple occasions and the food never disappoints. Gio is a superstar and Iggy the owner is a stand up guy. Their wood fire pizza is super thin and very crunch. I always leave there thinking about when will be the next time I have the pizza.

Very nice outdoor setting in open space tents. Good service and great Neapolitan style pizza. They have both personal and larger pizze. I tried the Marinara, the typical pizza without cheese, and the Margherita. They were both excellent. They have a wood fired oven. Good meatballs. BYOB.

The pizza was not good.

Floppy, basic taste profile and the sauce tasted sour.
Also the restaurant smelled really bad when I went in there and had to order to go because I couldn’t stand the smell.
