Visited Donnie’s Barbecue for the first time. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a side of mac and cheese. Both were fantastic. The sandwich was generously packed with tender pork, and the mac and cheese was creamy, flavorful. They had a variety of BBQ sauces right on the table. The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Plus, the place was spotless, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My wife and I stopped by because we were crazing some BBQ and Donnie’s did not disappoint. The collards and baked beans were to die for and the pull pork sandwich with the slaw was mouth watering. They have a few different homemade BBQ sauces from spicy to sweet. Overall this was a great experience and WE WILL BE BACK 🙂

Ordered take out today, the #2-3/4 lb of meat w/ 2 sides. I went with the fatty brisket and Kansas City pulled pork with a side of collards and Cole slaw. Corn bread included. One of the better BBQ places in the 757. Great juicy flavored portions….oh yeah and the price!

Just wow. This little BBQ joint tucked away in what seems like a random shopping center is by far some of the best BBQ I’ve had.
I had the pleasure of being served by Donnie the Pit Master himself. You can tell the care and dedication he spends preparing the meats for his restaurant.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good meal and really good BBQ.

Stopped in yesterday with my kids for lunch. We were greeted with a smile and didn’t feel rushed to order. Two of us ordered the BBQ Sundae and my youngest ordered mac n cheese. Portions were large, delicious and very filling. We will absolutely be back!

Had the show stopper mac and cheese and the NC pulled pork sandwich. The hot sausage on the mac and cheese was the perfect heat. Added the mop sauce to it and it was incredible. The No pulled pork sandwich was good. Definitely will be back

I rate this 4 out of 5 stars. This is coming from a misplace Texan that grew up eating gas station barbecue better than most restaurants in the Hampton Roads area. So my 4 stars would most likely be 5 stars from the locals. I ordered the number three which allows you three choices of meat and two sides. I opted to have sliced brisket, pork ribs and the Kansas City sweet pork with collard greens and house pickling blend. The brisket is the best I’ve had in the area, the pork ribs is the best smokehouse pork ribs I’ve had in Hampton Roads and the Kansas City sweet pork was pretty darn good also. They have a variety of sauces that are all made in the house and none of them disappointed. I would recommend Donnie’ to a friend and I will be eating here again.

First time at Donnie’s. The food was amazing and delicious. I got the “Meat Candy” which are burnt ends and they were by far the tastiest thing. I got Mac and Cheese and Baked Beans on the side and they both were really good. It came with cornbread as well and it was so wonderful. Definitely will be making a trip back. One of the best bbq places in the area.
