I also love that it is so GF friendly as my best friend is GF and she has so many options here, it has become a go-to! The chicken sandwiches are also great (and gf) and such a rarity – gf (but you wouldn’t know it) mozz sticks with an insane cheese pull. I’ve also ordered takeout and it’s been just as good, they so thoughtfully package the food up for transit
the classic burger was absolute gas. juicy burger, melty cheese, delicious sauce, and nice toasted bun. every piece of the burger is rich and melty. beef is cooked medium rare which is unusual for a fast casual place.
the burger with vodka sauce and the fried mozzarella is definitely good but i preferred the classic burger. the classic burger has 2 patties, the vodka burger swaps a patty for fried mozzarella of equivalent size and shape. ive never been a huge fan of mozzarella, i prefer salty, sharp and aged cheeses. but i must admit the cheese pull (2nd photo) is absolutely unreal.
i like the dude at the cash register too, he was real personable and helpful.
also apparently TimeOut magazine says this is the best burger in NYC. I loved the classic, I have no complaints. But this area is a competitive area for burgers. NADC is fantastic (I think its slightly better and its the same price) and its a block or 2 away. Also Moonburger is on the same block and its fire (not quite as good, but its cheaper).
In my eternal quest to eat the best burgers on the eastern seaboard, I tracked down Deux Luxe in Nolita…a highly rated burger spot.
It was pouring rain this day, so luckily there was only a small line of hungry burger enthusiasts in front of me. I got up to the kiosk (it’s all self-service) and punched in the first burger that jumped out at me: the Nolita Spicy Vodka Mozzarella Burger.
I probably should have gone a more traditional route, but I landed on this bad boy and have zero regrets.
The Wagyu beef is top-notch—juicy, perfectly seasoned, cooked just right.
The bun is a little soft cloud of yummy that holds everything together like a hug. And the fried mozzarella? I’d never tried that on a burger before, but it worked, adding decadence and crunch without overwhelming the beef.
This place feels like it will absolutely be added to my OG rotation, and I look forward to working my way through the rest of the menu.
If you’re serious about burgers, Deux Luxe is standing on business and ready to give you them hands.
Deux Luxe, located at 384 Broome St, New York, NY 10012, is absolutely one of those special places.
From the moment you walk in, the space pulls you in. It’s not just beautiful — it’s warm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with an atmosphere that feels relaxed yet full of life. The vibe is perfectly balanced: great energy, good music, and a crowd that’s clearly enjoying the experience. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable and want to stay a little longer.
Now, the food — this is where Deux Luxe truly shines.
The Turkey Dip Burger is, without exaggeration, one of the best burgers in New York. It’s not trying to imitate a beef burger; it confidently stands on its own. The turkey patty is juicy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, paired with a cranberry onion jam, aioli, and melted mozzarella that come together beautifully. The stuffing cranberry crunch adds an incredible texture, and when you dip the burger into the house-made gravy, everything clicks. It’s comforting, bold, and incredibly well-balanced. Every bite feels intentional.
The Mozzarella Sticks (GF) deserve just as much praise. They’re jumbo-sized, crispy on the outside, and incredibly gooey on the inside, made with a crunchy gluten-free cornflake crust. You can taste the freshness — nothing feels frozen or rushed. The vodka sauce served on the side is smooth, flavorful, and the perfect complement.
What truly elevates the experience is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Everything runs smoothly, with impressive speed and organization — something that’s especially appreciated in a fast-paced city like New York.
When it comes to price versus quality, this place is an easy 10/10. The value you get in flavor, freshness, service, and overall experience more than justifies the price.
I work just two blocks away, so there’s no doubt I’ll be a regular customer. Deux Luxe isn’t just a great spot to eat — it’s a place you look forward to coming back to.
I truly love this place, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding burger and a genuinely great dining experience in NYC.
On the bright side, staff was really friendly and attentive. Place is spotless, you can tell they care about the space and guests.
I’ll come back to give it another shot but the first visit was a bit disappointing.
The prices feel kind of steep. A double-stacked burger with fries will easily cost over $20. I assume it’s because they use Wagyu beef. I decided to just try the Big Deux Jr to gauge how I’ll feel about this, which still came out to about $15 for a burger with a single patty.
It took about 10-minutes to get. The dining area is really small and not remarkable by any means.
The burger definitely tastes “luxe.” The beef tastes great and vaguely reminds me of expensive burgers served at places like Minetta Tavern.
However, I can’t say there’s really anything to rave about beyond that.
If you’re craving a smash burger that tastes a little fancier, this is a great place to stop by. But you’ll definitely get more value for your dollar at a Shake Shack or even 7th Street. At the end of the day, you can probably get more for your money at fancier burger establishments than this place.
