These people are absolutely amazing! Me and my fishing buddy got stranded at the marina due to a bad storm and couldn’t get 30 miles back down river to our truck and trailer. Carol and Brandi helped us as complete strangers and gave us a ride by car all the way back down to Clayton. They are absolute angels! The true definition of Good Samaritans! Afterwards we got a bite to eat and the food was the best we had eaten anywhere in the area all week while on our trip. Highly recommend fish fry Friday!!

Not everyday you have the owner take your order. Carol is super sweet. I had a fish sandwich, slaw and fries all great. Hubby had the steak wrap and said it was really good. Sat outside with a nice water view!

Stopped in there with four friends on the bikes for lunch and a couple drinks about 2:30 in the afternoon. Greeted outside the door by a woman having a smoke break who asked if we were there for lunch to which we replied yes, I assume she was the cook. We went in and sat at the bar, the bartender came up and asked if we were there for lunch then disappeared for about 5 minutes next to be seen waiting on the only two other customers in the place who were at a table with food already in front of them. A few minutes later she came back and just started to take our drink order when the phone rang. She answered it and spent more than 5 minutes on the phone rather than putting the person on hold to finish our drink order and hand us menus. Wouldn’t have been so bad but there were 3 people working and only 2 customers other than us. There was what appeared to be a waitress doing something at the salad bar. We finally got up and left after close to 15 minutes of being there and no service, she was still on the phone when we left. We would have dropped over $100 there easy in the next hour and probably $25 or more tip. Good help is hard to find. Went to Ogdensburg at had a great lunch and excellent service instead.

I have only been to Foster’s for the Chippewa Bay Paddle for a Purpose. Always friendly and attentive to all the participants. Looking forward to having a regular lunch there some time when we paddle from Kring Point.
