A friend and I grabbed early dinner here on a whim. Best decision I’ve made in awhile. She got the vegan sandwich and said it was amazing. I tried the dakota and loved every bite. Everything worked- the focaccia, the no sauce and flavors were fantastic. The side I got was the tater tots with old bay seasoning and I will be thinking about those perfect tots for a long time.
The restaurant in general was clean, well lit and had a fun feel to it. The staff was friendly and greeted us with a smile.
Overall 10/10- will be back and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal.

Happened upon this deli using yelp. Needed a quick sandwich while our child was at a sports event at the VA Beach Sports Center. Very inviting building from the outside, and just as fun inside. I got the Breeland and my husband got the Yorkie sandwich. Excellent sandwiches. I love pastrami and was so happy with my choice. The flavors all blended so well. It’s a messy sandwich, and the slaw makes it wet so you don’t want to wait too long to eat it. The tater tots cooker in beef tallow were a perfect crunch and pretty addictive: I’m glad we don’t live close or I’m sure I’d go there all the time.

My husband loves sandwiches and had been wanting to try out Yorkies for months. We finally made it today and can say it was worth the wait. He got the chopped cheese and I got the Utah although we could have happily had anything on the menu. The sandwiches were truly some of the best we’ve had. The soft focaccia on the Utah will live rent free in my head for days to come. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere made us want to stay long after our sandwiches were finished. My only regret is not saving room from the peppermint bark soft serve. 10/10 experience.

My first visit to Yorkies was on a Monday afternoon, I heard many good things about this place so I figured I’d give it a shot. I walked in and noticed it wasn’t very busy but there were a few other people inside aswell. Space felt clean and had a neighborhood vibe going on. I came for the cheesesteak as this style is among my favorite. Having had the iconic Angelo’s cheesesteak in Philly this is exactly what I wanted. The price shocked me after adding just onions to my cheesesteak(onions should come on a cheesesteak without added cost…) this caught me by surprise and off guard. All said and done I chose tater tots as my side for my entree. After tip it came out to $25. This is $5 more than what it would cost at Angelo’s…I decided to eat at the location, the wait was quite a long time and it wasn’t very busy either. Once I got my food brought out to my table I had no interaction between the runner. The cheesesteak arrived hot, maybe too hot…would explain the bread was burnt. I see why the person that brought me my food didn’t want to say anything. A bit shocked I decided to begin eating, the cheesesteak tasted okay, until I got to the burnt bread…Sadly the tots were nothing special and quickly became cold and inedible. The size of the cheesesteak was a bit on the small side and the bread being clearly burnt did not make it as enjoyable as I’d hope for after spending $25 on it. I wanted this to be amazing but it fell short. I cannot see myself coming back here anytime soon. Unfortunate.

Yorkies is hand down one of the best delis in the city. Cant recommend this place enough.

Every time I go the food has been amazing. Fresh ingredients, amazing flavours and the smoked meat is to die for. Absolutely delicious. Everything this place makes is amazing.

Service is pretty good. Go to the counter and order your food. Take a number and they bring it over. Wait times are minimal. The place can be busy but that’s to be expected when the food is this good. Not to mention the pricing. Great portions for what you pay for.

Atmosphere is nice. It’s got a very relaxed and warm atmosphere. Summer they have a patio type area with lots of events in the area. When it’s colder out the inside is spacious and has plenty of seating.

Overall, this place is amazing. Highly recommend it!
I will continue to recommend and keep going to this place.

My sandwich was amazing. I was too full to try the banana pudding but I wanted it so bad. I loved the atmosphere. My kids are really picky so we probably wouldn’t take them back but my husband and I will definitely return. It is kid friendly though!! They have coloring books, crayons, books and games.

I bought this chicken ceaser sandwhich about 5-10 minutes ago. I paid $16 for the sandwich and tots no drink. My sandwich tasted very bland and like aomething that came from the refrigerator section of a Walmart maybe or Harris teeter. The meat are in literally chunks and dressing is mixed with the green mixture(pretty sure it’s bagged) so it’s soggy as hell. And it’s potato chips on it which was mentioned in the description but they are also soggy because of the lettuce soup. Only good things is the tots

If you’re looking for the best new sandwich spot in Virginia Beach, look no further than Yorkies VB! This place is an absolute gem, delivering incredible flavors and high-quality ingredients in every bite. Whether you’re a sandwich connoisseur or just looking for your next go-to lunch spot, Yorkies VB is where you need to be.

We tried the Chopped Cheese, and let me tell you—it was phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned beef, gooey cheese, and crisp, fresh toppings all packed into a toasted sesame bun. It’s exactly what a great chopped cheese should be. But the Nile sandwich? That one was next level. Every bite was a perfect balance of textures and flavors, making it an instant favorite.

And we can’t talk about Yorkies without mentioning their Cucumber & Tomato sandwich—a total standout. Refreshing, flavorful, and proof that even the simplest ingredients can shine when done right.

The only small critique? The sides were a little on the smaller side. But honestly, when the sandwiches are this good, it’s easy to overlook.

One thing’s for sure—this won’t be our last visit. We’ll be back many times over the summer, ready to work our way through the entire menu. If you haven’t tried Yorkies VB yet, you’re missing out!
