We’ve been to Pour Taproom downtown Jacksonville many, many times since they opened. I thought I’d finally share a new review of our latest visit because we both tried things we’d never had before.

I tried their wings for the first time. I chose Lemon Pepper which is one of my go to’s along with Garlic Parm. They weren’t they biggest wings in history and but they were very tasty and VERY crispy. I think they’re priced right for the size compared to what you see around town. I was honestly surprised by how crispy they were. I’d get them again based on this first experience.

My wife tried their Steak Burger for the first time, having tried their Smash Burger previously. She liked their smash burger but loved their steak burger. She usually orders her burgers cooked Medium. She said she was asked if she wanted this burger cooked “pink or no pink”, so she asked for pink. It was cooked to her liking, so that’s good. It’s worth noting that she really likes the seasoning they put on their fries as well.

One of the reasons we love Pour is that we’re downtown a lot for events and the location is fantastic, especially since they’re connected to a parking garage. Another reason we love Pour is because they have a Golden Tee Golf machine and we love playing that game. I’ve included a few pics from previous visits for the folks who seem to enjoy commenting on us, our shirts and Golden Tee 🙂

This place is worth it for the beer. Super cool atmosphere and vibe. However the food leaves something to be desired. The could definitely use some seasoning of any kind definitely on the food. We had wings and burgers and they were just okay. The ranch with the tots was watery at best. There is a pizza place next door that you can get pizza reminiscent of pizza you get from a gas station. Come for the beer and know you are getting less than average food.
There are lots of tv’s to watch football and any beer you want to try.

Very nice bar with pour it yourself options and pretty easy to do. The prices per oz are clear and having the tab on your phone makes it easy to see what you’ve spent. The capy snacks sweet beer is my favorite and is the second bar in downtown Jacksonville to have this particular brand from Cincinnati. Who’s the representative that brings this in? Live music sounded great with local musician Godiva but hoping eventually they’ll get the sound boards in to help with reverberation and extreme loudness. Have you thought of a concert, removing tables and chairs downstairs for standing room only and vip tickets for upstairs?
Dont let me forget the steak burger was delicious and cooked just right! Was a little nervous selecting pink but definitely didn’t want well. Most time I choose medium but that wasn’t an option. Perhaps have as an option or just something to let folks know your burger isn’t coming out too pink or mooing lol. The onion rings were good as were fries. This is a cashless venue but as long as you have a card ordering is easy from your phone, the bar or the qr code at your table.

Great location! So many options to drink. Love the pay-by-ounce concept. Drafts on tap downstairs AND upstairs. Lots of TVs to watch sports. Food tasted good.

Once you get the concept of how to get your drinks, it is great! The selection of beverages are plenty. Not just beer but ciders, wines and liquor drinks. It’s like an upgraded sports bar! We had an excellent time and will definitely go back. Tommy, a manager, was super accommodating to our son and helped us out greatly!

I never write these but this was a truly terrible experience! Terrible taps! The concept sounded cool, but my first beer came out all head, my 2nd beer shot air at me with no beer yet charged me for an entire beer, the third was all head, all of them were lukewarm. Go to a bar with a bartender that won’t rip u off, I know how to pour a freakin beer properly, their taps just suck, over pressurized. I went to complain and the manager made me waste my valuable time and walk around and show them which taps I tried that were bad like I’m their freaking employee before they would believe me and comp the ones that didn’t work and let me tab out and leave. Tried to act like I started to pour the beer “too early” at a place that charges by the ounce for you to pour your own beer. Said the system doesn’t charge for foam but it clearly did cause all I poured was foam at 3 out of 3 taps I tried and they all overcharged. Then they tried to act like it was my fault and eventually fixed it somewhat, but total waste of time and money on the flat beer and mediocre food I did pay for. Why tip a place that does nothing for u service wise but u feel obligated to put something so they don’t hit u with their default of 20% gratuity when zero service is provided. They cut u off at 32oz til u “check in” but no one that works there ever attempts to check on u. Trash. I feel bad for the people of Jacksonville that this is considered a high rated place, yall need some actual options.

I have been in different Pour bars. This one is not the most user friendly. I tried a bunch of different beers but mostly foam and I had to wait till they settle and try the beer.
1. I believe in all the tabs to pour there is a lot of pressure so foams instead of getting any liquid. Even tho I tilted the glass.
2. Yeah I try a bunch of different ones but from 10 were 1-2 drinkable. So not very trilled.
3.the music is not that good or audible.
4. Place is big, bathrooms are clean but not too many people visiting the place what makes it not so active.
5. You will see so many beers in my list but they were not more than 32 onz but pines are 16 so not even 2 full glasses but if is about foam then I got a lot

Going here must be what it feels like when my kid gets to go to Legoland. There’s a TON of beer to try, and the food is amazing. When you get here, get a wristband at the host station. You use the wristband to scan to pour beers, and you pay by the total amount. The prices are super fair. The pizza is delicious, and most definitely get the perk chicken egg roll appetizer! Don’t forget to check out the taps upstairs as well!
