Google breakfast near me and this was at the top. Very nice place and very clean. Service was very very good and checked on us often. The food was very good also. The eggs was amazing, like free range type. Coffee was a little strong but still good.

It’s much more spacious inside then it looks from the outside so that’s a plus. Friendly staff and reasonable prices but the food was average.

I have been meaning to write a review on this place for some time now. I’ve lived in Savanna for over a year and have eaten almost at every restaurant there. The Chinese place is good but nothing beats a small town restaurant. I’ve had 3 things from there. 1. Is the City Slicker. I’ve had that twice. 2. Was their biscuits and gravy I’ve had three times. 3. Is called The Mess. I’ve have that twice. I have to say is the best food I’ve had since I’ve lived there. I would most definitely recommend this place if your looking for a home environment and down home cooking. I haven’t tried their lunch yet but if it’s anything like their breakfast then I’m sure it’s to die for. The staff is very friendly and don’t rush you to eat or to order your food.

I typically reserve 5 Star ratings for fine-dining establishments but this little cafe deserves one! The service was outstanding, the menu was diverse, the food tasty and very reasonably priced, and the facility clean. The waitress was exceedingly pleasant and incredibly patient with me while I took an inordinate amount of time making my breakfast selection. While chatting with a waitress at Poopy’s later in the day, she mentioned, “The Kountry Kettle is the best place in town. I stop there all the time.” I’d definitely return too.

This place has been great for over 25 years. I love their grilled chicken bacon and swiss sandwich. They have great waffle fries and the lemonade is excellent. My husband loves the breaded pork tenderloin. Service is always quick and friendly. Wish it was open later, not too many good places to eat at night unless you want pizza or fast food. But you can’t go wrong eating here!!

If you haven’t been in for a while, GO!
Don’t expect the same fare! Or decor for that matter! They have completely transformed the space! The new atmosphere is insanely clever for usage of space and beauty. I was able to put together exactly the meal that I wanted, and the French toast was INSANELY good! My husband and MIL were less impressed, because they liked it the old way, but I felt like the crew just wanted us to leave so they could go home. We were there at least an hour before closing time, yet as thrilled as I was, the building itself still triggered anxiety. This certainly was contradictory to what my brain and eyes were sensing.

If you love everything there is to love about breakfast, get “The Mess.” It is amazing. Not that their other breakfasts are not good. “The Mess,” is greatness. It is a nice blend of meats, eggs. potatoes, cheese, and sausage gravy, and omelet veggies. Did I mention it is huge. It is the biggest most satisfying delicious thing. I go there just for, “The Mess.”

I don’t know where you got this waitress at. She has brown hair that was put in a ponytail today. It isn’t Renee either.
I go in today to meet with my grandmother. My grandmother was already sitting in a booth. She was already there 10-15 minutes and not once did the waitress come over and see if she wanted to drink. I sit down with her and waited for another 10 before I had to get up to get the drinks. When she finally came over (5 mins after the drink) I tell her what I want and she told me that I needed to slow down since she has to write it all down? I wasn’t even speaking fast and my orders were quite simple. Food was good as usual. Finally got our food about 20 minutes later, might of been sooner if the waitress would of checked but oh well. I had to get up again to get to-go boxes since she never offered or ask if we needed them. Then waited for the check, the waitress never brought it to us so I had to get up once again to grab the check. Just disappointed with this waitress

Perhaps one of the most poorly-run cafes I have ever been to. And I like cafes. I have only one rule at a cafe that must not ever be broken. And that is, no matter how busy you are, deliver coffee to me post-haste, then I am happy to wait a good while knowing the breakfast rush can be thick. But we waited twenty minutes before we waved a waitress down to place an order. We had to borrow menus from another table. We weren’t acknowledged all that time while sitting at the breakfast counter, not some corner table in the back. I was amazed. The food is your basic breakfast stuff, it’s not a difficult menu.

The Kountry Kettle somehow combines the energy and atmosphere of a cafe and gastro pub into an adorable sit down restaurant. The food is delicious and served by a friendly staff. The quality of the food is definitely good ole country style cooking with some delightful big city stylings thrown in.
You can enjoy hot roast beef or turkey sandwiches, tuna, or chicken salad, along with daily changing soup options, burgers, and much more. Breakfast is simple, but unique. Be sure to check out the daily donut offerings. Last time we went we were thrilled to find maple bacon chocolate chip donuts as well as cherry crisp and Oreo gummy worm donuts.
The restaurant and restrooms are clean and maintained often. Just keep in mind that the restaurant closes at 2 PM most days.
