I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was beyond disappointing.

I paid over $80 for three pizzas and was told they would be ready at 4:21 PM. I arrived at 4:22 PM and they were not ready. I didn’t leave until around 5:00 PM.

To be honest, I should have taken the atmosphere as a red flag. The location feels like a cramped hole-in-the-wall with virtually no parking available. Getting in and out of the area was gridlocked and stressful. For the prices being charged, the overall setup and experience did not match expectations.

After driving back to Boyle Heights to feed my three hungry children, I opened the boxes and discovered that all three pizzas were completely burned. Not slightly overcooked — burned black and heavily charred to the point of being inedible.

Spending over $80 for food that cannot be eaten is unacceptable. What makes it worse is there is no way to contact the restaurant. The phone numbers listed online are disconnected, and there is no working contact option on their website. That shows a lack of accountability and customer care.

Long wait. Burned food. No communication. Poor overall experience.

This was my first visit, and it will absolutely be my last.

this is the best pizza in LA. it’s not even close to a competition. the owner diego is the sweetest person on earth. i have been getting the classic pepperoni pizza with hot honey on top from him for years. the ranch is homemade. just literally the best ever.

Came in on a whim not expecting much. I was met with a friendly smile and ordered a medium pizza for dine in. Pizza arrived timely and looked perfect! I loved the pizza flavor profile so much I had to order a second to go. Diego the owner was very friendly and very passionate about his craft. We had a very lively conversation about pizza. I have had a lot of pizza in my life world wide and this place is very special. Definitely a must visit and try. I 100% recommend this place

This place rocks. Best takeout pizza I’ve had in a long time (better than pizzana, la sorteds, bub’s, prime, the works).

Trying to love this place. Guys working are great. Unfortunately the pizza isn’t. The New York style was ok below average. The “New Haven” was basically a New York but a tad thinner crust- wasn’t even close to what a New Haven apizza is supposed to be. Maybe the original pizza maker made it different or better but this pizza was just not good. Hope they fix it.

Pizza Cafe LA caught my eye recently and the next time I was craving pizza I headed over. I got there just as they were opening. The owner was there. Very friendly guy who clearly cares a lot about what he is serving. He had recently opened (I think?) and he was chatting with some other guests about reactions to the menu.

They have more than pizza and it all looked great but I had gone for the pizza. It was amazing. A great balance of cheese, sauce and crust with some tasty pepperoni on one.

If you’re in the area or see this spot on a delivery app, give it a whirl. It was a nice discovery and I hope they have many great years ahead.

Best pizza I’ve had in LA. Great crust and the ranch sauce was fresh. The wings were breaded and tasty. The owner has a good vibe, too. Definitely recommend.

The hot honey pizza was phenomenal. Solid portions for a good price. Plus! The staff were super nice and fun to talk with while we waited for our pizza. 100% will be going back and they’re opening a slice shop at echo park that I am keen on trying because I had a good experience.

As an east coaster, finding a pizza I like in LA has been an uphill battle. This is by far the best pizza I’ve had out here. I got the Brooklyn style and the crust was chewy and perfectly charred, the sauce was flavorful, the cheese was good quality. Even after a ten min walk home it was still perfectly warm. The atmosphere inside the shop is really cute and the staff are all very kind. Felt like I was back home. Definitely my new go to spot

Walked in here before it closed. Ate pizza with pepperoni basil and hot honey on the hood of our car. WOW! Really good. Great crust, cheese was super fresh. Dudes were really cool too.
