Kids enjoyed their meal. My quesadilla was a little greasy/oily on the outside that I probably wouldn’t order it again & the chicken tenders were a little dry, but maybe it was just a one-time thing. Its a small space so the seating is limited that there have times that we haven’t ate there before because it was too crowded.

Excellent local place. Not fancy like other places in Waxhaw. We had a delicious breakfast. Pancakes were the fluffiest and lightest we have ever had. The waitress, Ashley treats everyone like family. She is incredibly friendly and sweet. Prices are fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!!!

Prices have really increased here. We called in for country fried steak with hash browns casserole, green beans with tea and chicken strips, fries, corn nuggets with tea and before tip was $30. I thought prices were the same as posted in the Pic menu 11 months ago, but guess not.

Shout out the good folks at Grits! Rolled in there with a group of 13 Cub Scouts after a rainy camp out. They were very accommodating in taking care of us, moving tables / seats around and such. Food was very good. I ordered the Shipwreck. Would recommend for down home cookin’ and small town hospitality.

My husband & I tried it. We won’t be back! No smiles were seen by the two women working the restaurant. It’s pretty bad when my husband doesn’t like it bc he is so easy to please and likes everything. After reading the reviews and going there we were very disappointed!!!

I called on 3/27 to place a large take out order for a special birthday brunch on 3/29/25. My order was ready on time. Top customer service. Michael was super nice and helped carry my order to the vehicle. The pancakes were huge and delicious. The french toast were fluffy and tasty. Everyone enjoyed the food

Driving into work at a Local ER, realized I hadn’t gotten food. Passed by Grits went in and ordered BLT with egg and bacon, side of green beans, peach cobbler, side of (not sweet) coke slaw that was delicious.
As I waited for my food looking
around the quaint restaurant (I did plug in the x-mas tree and the window lights BTW). I saw a wall of Heroes and took my time looking at it until the owner walks my way with a spoon,. Immediately I was like, ok now what we got here… meatloaf sample , fresh out the oven, followed by squash Casserole then Mac n cheese, all different samples like your Mom would give you in her Kitchen..
Touched my heart, and my belly..
Great place, great people, great food, Hospitality off the charts..
Thank you for reminding that there is still Love and Pride in the World.

Everyone is always very nice. They are quick and you can’t beat the price for quality home cooking. The Country Fried Steak meal is way more food than I should eat but it is so delicious!
