First time here. Ordered sesame chicken and 2 egg rolls. Food came out fast and hot. Egg rolls could have been a little hotter but they were still OK. They were nice & crunchy. The sesame chicken sauce was a slightly different taste than most others I have had but I really liked it. Maybe it was extra soy? I dont know but it was good. Food is served on Styrofoam plates with a plastic fork which made it a bit difficult to cut a couple of the larger pieces of chicken but this didnt take away from the food at all. Restaurant was clean, open and had plenty of tables. I recommend Star Chinese.

I stopped in this cute little Chinese restaurant in downtown Ferris a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. They worked with me on creating a gluten-free dish by making my chicken with veggies dish with a white sauce instead of the traditional brown.
The food is amazing! By far and away the best Chinese in Ellis county.
And I absolutely adored the 2 little bay windows you can sit in and people watch. It was a lovely place to sit and eat a delicious Chinese meal and read a book.

We are so happy to have found this place. The closest Chinese and it’s great! I have been so tired of cooking during the freeze I need led someone else to cook! My husband loves it so much we’ve had it 3 times in the past 7 days. We have had the egg rolls, fried dumplings, beef fried rice extra spicy (and they actually spice it up good!), general chicken extra spicy, beef lo mein and house lo mein. All delish! Great service and great price for the amount of food. Our new Chinese go to!

I am not a local, but I stopped by on the way to Houston. The staff was super friendly, they made the order fast, and most importantly, the portions were HUGE!!! I am a big eater and got stuffed on maybe 3/4 of my orange chicken?? It was a huge portion for a GREAT price. TOTALLY recommend this place. Also the food was very good. It was better than most takeout Chinese places I’ve had.

I tried this place based on reviews. Service was fast and place looked clean. However, it is not authentic chinese food. The sauces were bland and watered down. The fried rice was plain, wonton were burnt and no flavor. The lo mein noodles are Maruchan/Nissin noodles and were very dry. No veggies or seasoning in the rice or noodles.

This is by far the best Chinese food in Ellis County. Everything is fresh and all the sauces are home made. I drive almost 40 minutes to eat here once a week and there isn’t another place around as good.

I’ve had this place a bunch of times since moving to Ferris and I’ve never given them a review… Their Spicy Shrimp Fried Rice is always good and fresh. I get it with orange chicken or sweet and sour chicken.. try them out you won’t be disappointed .. sorry no photos we dug right in lol
