Sasi’s never fails me, their plates always come out steaming hot and spicy to me liking. I enjoy the cashew chicken plate, with fresh veggies and Thai hot heat level. I love the Thai teas and bubble teas, they are the best in town. May be slightly higher priced that usual plate prices around town but I always receive excellent service and thoroughly enjoy my meals, so I am definitely willing to pay at their rate.

I have been going multiple times and now, it is safe to say that i can give an overall review of Sasi’s. For an authentic Thai meal in the valley, Sasi’s is the place to go. I have not found anything on the menu that was not delicious. There has been times that the place is full and others, it is empty but Sasi does an outstanding job to make sure you get your food fast and good.

Price is fair considering the amount of food they offer and the staff ensures you are pleased with your meal and give great recommendations.

I will be returning again soon, hungry for more. Great job Sasi.

Hands down the best Thai restaurant in town. Ok, it’s the only Thai restaurant in town, but I’d rate Sasi’s very highly compared to the Thai restaurants I love back home. My friends and I are always pleased with the food and friendliness of the service. Lee, the co-owner, is a great guy to chat with if the place isn’t too busy, and his wife, seems to do all of the cooking herself, though admittedly I have no idea if there’s ever anyone else in the kitchen with her helping. Sasi is more than happy to adjust the spice on your dish up or down depending on your preference.

The place can get pretty busy around lunch hour. About a year ago Lee mentioned if they had known how popular Sasi’s would be he and his wife would have gotten a larger space, but it’s so hard to predict how successful a new business will be around here, especially if it’s different. I almost always get takeout during non-peak hours; I place my order while waiting in line next door at the HEB Plus and my food is always waiting for me by the time I get there. The one time I ordered takeout in person I don’t think I waited more than ten minutes.

I don’t go too often, maybe three times a year, but when I get a craving for Thai food it’s usually strong and won’t go away until I get some, so thank you Sasi’s for opening your doors only a few months before I moved to Texas. Now, as I’m leaving TX, I figure the least I can do is leave this glowing review to help make sure your doors are still open when I come back for an occasional visit.

Edit: How come this place only gets 4.5 stars? All 6 reviewers gave it 5 stars. I’m not an expert, but doesn’t that mean the place gets 5 stars?

My experience was good and it is one of the very few Asian cuisine restaurants that have a cook from the right country.

Thailand has some very distinct cuisines and while this place is great for what they have, it in no way represents all the country’s fare.

Thai food in Brownsville, probably not very good. Well you are wrong! Sasi’s Thai has excellent options that are all delicious and pretty hard to go wrong with any of the menu items. If you are looking for something besides tacos and pizza, try Sasi’s!

A 2 because the elderly man seem nice, however the food is not remotely authentic or is the price fair. This is my second time there. Last time I tried the curry, again not worth while. Today I got the drunken noodles with beef, the noodles tasted old and hard, and the fried rice with tofu, I thought you can’t go wrong with fried rice but they did. The tofu was hard. The man asked if I wanted eggs at the time of the order which was strange because eggs is a part of the description. If done properly the eggs would be stir fry into the rice, not sliced like an over-easy egg for breakfast. And also the prices listed on urbanspoon is completely wrong. I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants, and I can say this one is a huge disappointment.

4.2 stars? The place doesn’t deserve it. If Sasi’s Thai is considered authentic, then Taco Bell sets the standard for authentic Mexican food. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Came here with my friend because she recommended the bubble tea. We got Taro flavor & it was great. Its better & cheaper than going to Bubbly Brew too. 5 bucks in case you were wondering 🙂
