Brooklyn Brisket is one of those rare places that gets everything right without trying too hard.
From the moment we walked in, the staff was genuinely warm and welcoming. When they found out it was our first visit, they happily offered samples-no pressure, just pride in what they do. That alone says a lot.
Everything is made to order, and you can taste the care in every bite.
Nothing rushed, nothing reheated-just solid, honest food done right.
Portions are generous, quality is high, and the pricing is more than fair for what you get.
This place feels like it was built on craft, kindness, and consistency.
Utica’s lucky to have it. We’ll absolutely be back.

Came from FL on vacation and we decided to come in and I am so glad we did. The owner was so very nice and the sample of the brisket over rice compared to other places is very generous. Overall the food was amazing and the green hot sauce just hit the spot.

We found Brooklyn Brisket & Deli via Google whist driving through Utica so decided to stop by and try their Brisket. They have only been open for a few months but it seems like a popular spot.
Whilst we were deciding on what to order they gave us 2 very generous samples of rice, lettuce and brisket! That’s not something we are used to it was very generous of them.
The Brooklyn Cheese Burger was luscious and hearty and barely held together inside the bun. Flavour met expectations for Brooklyn brisket and did not disappoint.
The staff are wonderful. I have a severe allergy to green bell peppers and the staff made sure my Sandwich didn’t have any.
There isn’t much seating.
No bathrooms are available.
Off street parking is available but limited.

Update the manager brazel called me & apologized & offered to replace whole meal. He said they were out of peppers & onions.. I appreciate him contacting me as I was very upset. Food received was still 1 star, but will upgrade service to 3 stars until I get meal replaced.
Do not recommend to any one.
Terrible service. Ordered delivery via grubhub they completely messed up my order. Requested white sauces & hot sauce on side. My lamb over rice came covered in white sauce. My brisket cheesesteak was so small and had lettuce & tomatoe no peppers, onions, cheese. The cheese fries were not covered in a soft cheddar sauce, cheese was hard. I called owner & explained the issues, he could of cared less. Said person who made food already left, I asked if he was going to correct these issues he Said no! Do not believe all the 5 star reviews, food was gross, disgusting and most of all not what I requested. Will never order from here again. Shame on these people for their lack of care.

This restaurant has a very nice view. When you’re having a meal there, you can see the famous murals of Utica. When you enter this restaurant and don’t know what to order, they will prepare a sample for you to taste. The smiles of the staff are very warm, and they treat the food seriously. Really good food and exceptional service. The server was very friendly and helpful. They ran out of brisket tonight but my wife had it earlier and it was delicious. My gyro was amazing. The garlic fries were delicious as well.

Super yummy!!!! I had the chicken and lamb over rice combo. The large serving is huge. Their white and hot sauces are amazing. The place is clean and the guys there were friendly. This was very good and I would recommend.

So. In Utica on business and Brooklyn Brisket popped up a couple of times in my search’s for places to eat. Had some solid reviews and figured, why not. Walked in, simple place, like hometown mom and pop feel. Young guy greeted me, told him a needed a minute because it was my first time there. He smiled and said “oh it’s your first time, here, let give you a little sample, all first timers have to try a little”. So I thought he was going to give me a lil piece or brisket to try, like when you go to the deli and they give you a slice to try to make sure it’s what you want. Nope, not here. He cut off a small chunk of brisket and put it over yellow rice with their white sauce and handed it to me before hopping back on to help with orders. Fresh and tasty! Such clean flavors, just the right amount of heat but not over powering the seasoning of the rice or the tenderness, sweetness and flavor of the brisket. I ended up getting two Brooklyn cheesesteaks, a double smash burger and cheese fries. The cheesesteaks are deceiving, they look average when I opened them up but they taste amazing! That brisket along with the onion and peppers a classic pairing, but the seasoning is on point! The white sauce along with the hot sauce is a perfect balance of heat and sweet. The only thing missing from the 2 cheesesteaks, was a 3rd. The smash burger, as burgers go it was perfectly fine, that white sauce and the way they season brings it to life though!! The cheese fries were solid, I would say a longer cook on them so they are crisper for the cheese, but that’s a person preference. All things considered, I strongly recommend that anyone who comes to Utica makes the time to grab a bite at Brooklyn Brisket!! Great food, great prices and great service!!!

When you walk in the door for the first time, the owner will take a second to see if he recognizes you, and if not, you’re getting a free sample of their signature dish. Its a great little corner store, perfect spot to grab lunch during a work day or when you’re out on errands. Amazing food, great staff, although seating is limited and there are no restrooms.
When they ask if you want white sauce and green sauce, tell them no green sauce if you dont like hot food.
