We booked lunch online the night before and arrived looking forward to a relaxed meal. When we got there, the owners and family were having their own lunch and the restaurant sign wasn’t out the front, which made us hesitate as it felt unclear whether the restaurant was open.
Throughout our visit, staff members, including the chefs, repeatedly returned to sit and continue their meal while we were dining. This made the atmosphere feel awkward and uncomfortable, rather than welcoming for guests.
Unfortunately, the food itself was also quite disappointing. We regularly enjoy Vietnamese cuisine and are familiar with authentic flavours, but the dishes we received were very mild and lacked the freshness and flavour we expected.
We always like to support local family-run businesses, but on this occasion both the dining experience and the food quality didn’t meet expectations. Hopefully this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.

Came here on a recommendation with not knowing what to expect from a Vietnamese place in Mittagong. So far from Cabra and Canley it’s hard to raise a bar out here but me and my partner were left shocked. Amazing flavours on every dish. Fresh ingredients. Everything was perfect. Interesting uncommon dishes which were amazing to have after seeing repetitive dishes elsewhere. Loved the shaking beef and the stuffed spicy chicken especially. The ability to maintain such a juicy interior while maintaining a crispy exterior on the chicken was amazing. Shaking beef was like butter melting in our mouths.
The beef pho was not available which was a slight letdown but the brisket pho was still delicious. The pho I wouldn’t say is up there with 2 foodies or similar, it’s a filtered less traditional pho but still really nice, plus the brisket wasnt as fatty as most pho briskets which was a treat.
Stuffed prawns were an amazing entree, a spin on winter prawns with the stuffed interior.

Best restaurant in Mittagong. Tuesday night and the place was packed : 11 of 13 tables occupied.
Food is so tasty : we shared the fresh grilled chicken rolls for starters. Wife had the green Papaya salad and I went the Beef Pad Vet ….. each was scrumptious

First time going here Was served by a kid that couldn’t tell me the correct price more than once,food was dry and flavourless bahn xeo was advertised as having prawns although there are only tiny shrimp chicken wings were so dry it was as if they were a week old.

Beautifully presented dishes, full of flavour. An absolute delight for the taste buds.
