We walked by this place one night when they first opened. It looked so cozy and welcoming from the outside that we knew we had to try it. We’ve now been twice over the past few weeks.
The space is small, but well-utilized. There’s a long, walled-off entrance hallway which keeps any outside weather out of the restaurant. A six seat sushi bar is tucked into the rear. There’s an open kitchen with counter seating for five and a front dining area with tables for about 15. There’s also a small outside patio.
The staff is very welcoming, kind, enthusiastic, efficient, and helpful. Really terrific service. The space is very calm, inviting, and cozy as anticipated.
The food has been first rate. We started with the fried gyoza this evening. The dumplings were just about the best I’ve ever had. A juicy, flavorful filling and fried perfectly with just the right amount of crunch on the edges. They came with a delicious dipping sauce.
The baked green mussels were next. They were beautifully presented, like all of the dishes, tender, and flavorful.
We then shared a sashimi version of the fatty yellowtail and the fatty tuna from the Specials menu. Both presentations were absolutely gorgeous. The fish was super fresh and tasted as wonderful as it looked.
We finished with the Japon roll, barbecue eel, cream cheese, avocado, and crab. The portion was very generous. It was a bit unusual, but the flavors melded well and it was delicious with excellent sauce.
There are many other things to try on the menu including rice and noodle dishes, ramen, teriyaki, donburi (rice bowls), bento boxes, poke bowls, and a large selection of sushi, sashimi, sushi rolls, and hand rolls.
This is an excellent restaurant, great staff, super fresh ingredients, great care taken with every dish, and a dedication to making the guests happy in a very comfortable space. Check this out!

This place is AMAZING! The best sushi I’ve ever had, impeccable service, and overall perfect experience. I was not expecting to be so blown away but now I understand why they’re so many 5 stars.
We had the yellowtail hamachi, truffle salmon, tuna hand rolls, and the seasonal sushi special! Every bite was perfect…
Then we had the beef carpaccio and ramen. It blew us away! We will definitely be back… probably once a week. And the prices are great, too.

We were so excited to try this new-to-the-neighborhood sushi spot and Japon did not disappoint! The service and food were impeccable- you can tell they care about every detail and the staff were so friendly. They had the best miso soup I’ve ever had and were so excited to come back!

I was looking for a different restaurant when I stumbled upon this one. It said grand opening so i decided to check them out. It’s a family owned sushi, ramen, and hibachi spot. The customer service was great they were really kind, and they’ve only been opened a month! They served me a glass of cucumber water which was super refreshing. I started off with the Crab Rangoons, and they were a hit. The mixture was very creamy and the shell was crisped to perfection. The roll I decided on was the Angry Dragon Roll. While I wish it had more texture it was very flavorful. I’ve never had flavorful sushi before and it wasn’t just the sweet sauce they drizzled on top (which I could’ve gone for a little more of) the crab on top was so tasty. I can see myself coming back when I have an inkling for sushi. I wonder if their ramen and hibachi is just as good.

I saw that this place opened up and I decided to try it out. I am so glad I did and will definitely be back to try all of the other scrumptious looking food on the menu. I had the Ninja roll that had spicy tuna, eel, and shrimp tempura. Great combination! Their chicken karage was pretty good too and the miso soup really hit. Also, pretty friendly and attentive staff!

Excellent food and a great overall experience. The tonkatsu ramen was rich, flavorful, and one of the best we’ve had—very filling and satisfying. The fried calamari was delicious with a tasty mango sauce (small portion but worth it). The sushi was fresh and very good.
We also tried the mochi ice cream (chocolate and mango); both were good, but the chocolate was better. Everything tasted fresh, the service was attentive, and the place is clean, well-decorated, and free of strong odors. We’d definitely come back.

We tried Japon and the food and staff were wonderful. We ordered a few sushi rolls plus a couple of appetizers, and we shared the salmon poke bowl. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, beautifully balanced, and well priced. The staff were beyond kind and welcoming (they even surprised us with egg rolls on the house). The space is well-decorated, cozy without trying too hard, and there’s plenty of street parking. This is officially a repeat spot for me- lunch or dinner, solo dates or full-on group hangs. I’ll be back!! so happy to have this in the neighborhood.
