Our fries were burnt. Coffee was cold. Took 40 minutes to get food. I mentioned to the bartender/server about the burnt fries and all she said was “oh”. I had to go ask for a refill on my pop and ask for more coffee for my mother.

This is basically a small, hole in the wall bar. We walked in and expected to be greeted. That didn’t happen. We found seating and the table was dirty. I wiped it off with wet wipes I had in my purse. We expected a server to come & take our order. That didn’t happen. This was a late Saturday afternoon, October 5th, very few customers were in the bar and there were 2 people behind the bar talking, laughing & being attentive to the customers sitting at the bar. We waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged and have our order taken in which neither one was done. After discussing the lack of choices on the menu and prices we felt were too much, we got up and left, going 4 miles into another establishment that did want our business. We won’t be going back to this place because of the lack of service and acknowledgement of our presence. We would have spent at least $60 on food, drinks & tip that would have stayed in the local economy of Isle had we been treated with courtesy and respect.

What a fun place to visit and the food is top notch.
I had the pastrami sandwich and my husband had the mushroom Swiss burger.
We both had chips and coleslaw (the French fry cooker was malfunctioning).
My sandwich was on focaccia bread and the burger was on a regular bun, and my husband said the bun was really good and didn’t fall apart during the eating process.
The waitress was fabulous, the other patrons were awesome and it felt like home, even though we had never been there before.

I was served the best sandwich I ever had. It was called the Haystack, of something like that. The sandwich was served before I even got done paying. Quick service. Friendly staff. Loved it.

For the area this is probably a 10 star joint. Put this place in a ski town or mountain town probably be packed every night with locals n tourists. But theres no atmosphere, waitress barely knew where the door was let alone menu. Which is all burgers n sandwiches with potato salad, coleslawor chips. What is this 1980?
Didnt matter tho cook doesnt know the menu either. Just back there cookn whatever he feels like, and waitress hoping your more hungry than annoyed. The live music sounded like a cat stuck in a traffic cone, and the 7 locals that were there probably just finished painting a shed or tilling a field.
The atmosphere was about as lively as a morgue, but im sure thats par for the course in this part of the world. They get 5 stars because the place was clean, upkept n the food was edible. Which is pretty rare in most 2 block towns.

It was pretty busy, but we were able to be seated in the quiet dining room, which I really liked btw. The waiting time for my food was really long, but there were only a few workers so I wasn’t that surprised. I was also sorta disappointed when I saw they didn’t have milkshakes though, but it’s a bar, and I should’ve expected it. Overall, food was pretty great !

Very very good good served fast but you could tell the food was made with care! Excellent service very down to earth nice people made you feel equal if not better! Loved seeing all of the artwork and old signs and Spuds of course! Overall fun and delicious!

Honestly, the ONLY reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because they don’t have a fryer, so no French fries or tater tots. The Bob Burger was AMAZING, the server was great, the atmosphere was great. I’ll be making the trek back up there in the summer
