Looking for a new place to eat and found this place on Google, it’s hidden at the other end of shopping center so we never saw it, until we went to goggle what a great find. It’s definitely local feel atmosphere, great food and service. Also have to give a high five to the owner during the snow storm of 2026 he opened up the store and he was doing Everything serving, cooking and bartending! Wasn’t a full restaurant but he did it all and of course non of the patrons where in a hurry cause there was no where to go but home. Had a fantastic time at The VRTX! The atmosphere is super cozy and I really loved the decorations—it’s such a nice spot to hang out. The service was excellent, everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, but the highlight for me was definitely the nachos. Whatever sauce they put on those is amazing! Will definitely be recommending this place to friends and coming back soon.

Oh my goodness! So delicious! It was mine and my husband’s first visit, and we weren’t sure what to expect. There were so many things on the menu that looked amazing, but we wanted to try the tomato jam, so my husband got the jam burger, and I got the Queen’s grilled cheese. First off, the presentation was beautiful. Secondly, the flavors were amazing and savory. The fries were a little too spicy for my liking. I’ll ask for less seasoning next time. The prices are high. I understand why as ingredients are pricey, and fresh ingredients more so. It’s worth the higher prices, in my opinion. I would absolutely come back for more. Service was exceptional. The atmosphere was pleasant. We’ll definitely be back.

What a great find while out holiday shopping. Eclectic menu with a bit of everything – tapas (small plates), flat bread pizzas, sandwiches, entrees and more. I had the chicken salad plate (like buffalo chicken) and a creamy shrimp, parmesan and avocado dip. Both were unbelievably delicious! Super friendly and attentive staff. Can’t wait to bring more people and come back!

Great rotating selection of draft beer, plus a large selection of bottles.
The food is really good, and the chefs do great work. Bar service is the best.
I’d give them 6 stats if possible.

First off I want to say that this place is fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal and the restaurant itself looked great. It definitely is something this area needs but the only problem is the pricing in my opinion. Only reason it did not get a full 5 stars is because two alcoholic drinks and two medium sized burgers and fries for $74 is a bit much. But for just a once in a while thing not that bad

Looking for great food and great service? Look no further! This place is now my newest staple to get good eats. My mom and I ate here today and I must say the food was hot and delicious. Our server, Santiago was so amazing and made great conversation. The owner even came out to introduce himself. I’ll certainly be back. 10/10 must try. Thank me later. XOXO

The VRTX is new for us. The menu is innovative and the food was fresh and delicious. My husband got the Chicken Hawk Sandwich and the Broccoli Salad. I ordered the Hot Honey Peach flatbread without the arugula. Both meals were delicious. The atmosphere was very cool and relaxing. They have a nice patio outside that is covered. Full bar inside which is not available everywhere in this part of Union County. Eddie was a great server and gave excellent suggestions on the menu. We will definitely be back.

A little off the beaten path, but worth the drive. Great food and service and a good beer selection. I have to mention the cleanest and best smelling bathroom I have experienced in a restaurant lately. We will be going there again.
