I’ve only been a few times and mostly for wings but it’s been a good experience. It does seem like they’re used to smaller crowds as the bartender was also the waitress.
Dedicated fryer for gluten free and plenty of gluten free options. I would recommend them to anyone looking for gluten free food.

I haven’t had clam strips in 12 years due to gluten issues and OMGOODNESS does the Galley serve. They were fabulous. The homemade cocktail and tarter sauces were wonderful too. So worth the drive. The staff were lovely and service was quick. Non GF partner had the fish basket and devoured it. We will be back.

This spot had been on my list of places to try for awhile, so I was excited to finally have the opportunity to stop by on a Sunday afternoon.
I would start by saying that the space itself wasn’t what I expected. For some reason, I was thinking more restaurant, and this was more of the dive bar vibe. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just surprised me.

Our waitress that day was lovely. She was running front of house by herself, from hostess to bartender to waitress. She did a great job moving between tasks and circulating to customers.

The food was a mixed bag. We started with an order of cheese fries. The fries themselves were delicious – thin and crisp. Our only wish was for more cheese as only half or so of them had any topping. Both of us opted for a side Caesar salad with our meals. The portion was definitely decent, and overall, it was very good. We both also loved the Gouda burger we split. This is not an option you see in many places, and the combo of flavors was delicious.

However, the sad part of our meal was the Captains basket. There were no clam strips, so hubby switched to the calamari, and we agreed I would eat the shrimp as I don’t enjoy calamari. He ate some of the calamari when the basket arrived but didn’t love them. The shrimp – which we didn’t realize until after ordering was going to be buffalo style – were too spicy to eat. We both tried them, and it was like they had been soaked in straight hot sauce. There was no need to complain as this is just how they are served. The fish was good, but overall, it was not an entree worth the $30 cost.

If you are in the area and looking for a good burger and fries, I can recommend stopping by. However, it is not a place I would purposely go out of my way to return to with so many options in the area.

Wouldn’t say kid friendly, but Tuesday night triva was a blast. Food was delicious. It was on the pricey side for food not served on a plate.

The Galley was definitely an excellent choice for dinner!! Food was excellent as well as the drinks. The homemade fried mozzarella was very good and the heart attack burger was off the chart delicious!! Sammi was a good bartender and an awesome server. Andrew, one of the owners came over to talk to us as well to see how everything was. Both Sammi and Andrew hit it out of the park for making you feeling at home. Great job to the chefs as well. Thank you all for a wonderful dining experience.

Ordered online about 3 hours ahead of time using the restaurant’s website, it was a very easy experience with all the features working well. Went with an order of the Galley Sampler (Fried Pickles, Fried Mozzarella, and Fried Calamari) and the BBQ Chicken Cheddar Melt with a Side Salad.

Pickup was also quite simple, though it was a little weird. I was expecting more of a general restaurant, but instead was greeted by something more akin to a house that has had a living room converted into a bar. It almost felt like walking into Moe’s from The Simpsons.

When I got home and opened everything up I was a bit mixed on how much food I got for the price I paid, I knew the bag felt a bit on the lightweight side but I’ve been surprised before. This was not the case here. Still I pushed aside my concerns and dug into the meal.

The fried calamari was perfect and so was the fried mozzarella, but the fried pickles were pretty floppy and not crunchy as expected. They had a nice spicy flavor, but the texture really undercut it. The BBQ cheddar melt was very tasty, but the chicken was in this weird chunks form and spilled out from the sandwich if I wasn’t careful. I’d recommend they switch up to chicken breasts. And the salad, well, it was there. Shredded Iceberg is totally flavorless, but luckily I predicted this and went with creamy Italian dressing so I could at least enjoy it still.

All that said, for $52.73, this was totally overpriced for one person and takeout to boot. I’d say this was far more of a $30 to $40 meal at max, nothing about it blew me away and I was disappointed in the proportions. Overall, 4/5 stars, but I’d say closer to a 3.5 out of 5.

My kids have been begging me to try their favorite restaurant for months now. We finally came and brought a few friends.
The waitress was amazing and doing the best she should could with being the only person doing the whole front, back, and bar area
After ordering and waiting for almost an hr we were told the restaurant was out of bacon which almost half the menu has bacon on the food so not a good thing to run out of. So more than half our party had to pick something else, and half of what we wanted had marinara sauce on it which was also out. When our food finally came out the burgers were super wet and pink when we said no pink, and the fries were cold.
On a positive note, the fish fry and fish tacos that a couple people ordered from our group they all said were amazing.

We were riding through Malta and wanted to stop somewhere after being out all day. Judging by the parking lot full of cars this place must be good! (And it sure was!)

The owner helped us out with our indecisiveness – as the menu is impressive and big. Once the food arrived it tasted amazing, we wanted to eat some home-fare and it didn’t disappoint.

Highly recommend it to travellers driving through Malta. Staff & owners are very nice, food was warm and the drinks were cold, ah, and the place itself has a great atmosphere too!

I stopped in to the Galley for the first time tonight and will definitely be back. Their burgers are hands down the best around, cooked to perfection and I as able to modify the bun to gluten free. Their whole menu can be made gluten free. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

My husband and I have been to The Galley twice before this past Saturday night. Both times, the food has been excellent. The wings especially have been some of the best we’ve ever had. But the service each time has been very shaky. Barely passable. The second time we were there, the bartender (owner maybe), said it had been quiet so he had sent all his help home. Then it got busy so he was running back and forth from the bar to the dining room. When we went in on Saturday, the same bartender said sit wherever you’d like. It was fairly busy as it was around six and there was a live band. We sat at a table in the dining room and waited for approximately 10 minutes. There was a young girl who was apparently waiting tables and completely ignored us. I actually went up and got our own menus. Another 10 minutes of being ignored. No one ever came over, no one ever said I’ll be right with you. My husband said, that’s it, we’re out of here. The bartender was still behind the bar when we left and no one acknowledged us on the way out. Great food, but the service is severely lacking. Seriously doubt we’ll be back when the restaurant staff ignores a paying customer.
