Food was high quality, service was good and portion size was large for Sushi.
I had a couple of rolls (spicy tuna and crunchy shrimp) and Nigiri of Surf Clam, Scallop and Sweet Shrimp.
It was good.
Here’s the Breakdown:
Quality ingredients +1 star; plentiful portions +1 star; good service +1 star; nice interior +1 star.
If I eat sushi again I’d go back.
Would love to come again!
In the Tonkotsu Ramen, the noodles look and taste like those cheap from $1 package, the meat wasn’t the tasty from this type of food.
Still $18! Don’t go there.
We waited for a little while before our waitress got in touch with us. We ordered the fried squid, it was fine, just little greasy. We ordered the chicken bento and pork Katsu bento box. That teriyaki chicken was okay, but the pork tasted weird, might be the sauce problem, I had Pork Katsu in different places before, the sauce wasn’t like that. The bento box comes with either pork sticker or sushi, we wanted sushi but we forgot to tell the waitress, but she was gone almost the whole time until she gave us our food, and they gave us the pork sticker, that’s fine.
That salad came with the bento was not cold at all, it was warm.
The waitress attitude wasn’t great.
The floor was sticky.
The sushi was too pricey, I could order more at sushi train with less pricey.
I watched the way he made each roll with a smile on his face. After finishing them with a smile of enjoyment he said, “Try a piece of the Dragon roll while it’s hot”. After seeing him dazzled some eel sauce and sirachi sauce I decided to risk it.
The sweet eel sauce, spicy sirachi and the hot temperature just was a great combination of great taste. In the end I’ll be heading back after my job sites to try different sushi rolls.
I enjoyed all three rolls each with their own unique flavor and taste. Take one of your adventures out to Fuji in Brentwood if you haven’t done so yet.
Lately, we went and had a nice dinner, ordering many rolls and sitting at the sushi bar. I didn’t get a cup of hot water I ordered with my meal, but they were really busy, so I understood, and we left a good tip anyway.
My husband also left his hand-knit beanie hat where we were sitting. We didn’t notice til we were home and it was quite late. So I called the next day when the restaurant opened, and they told me the server did find the hat, but then threw it away. I can only assume she didn’t feel we left a good enough tip to hold onto the hat for even a day.
So we will take a break from this restaurant until I’ve had a chance to knit my husband a new beanie. The yarn is hand dyed and ships from a little shop in Poland, so it may take quite some time.
Update: the yarn finally arrived from Poland, and a replacement hat is under way. We may go back again after some time has passed.
