Cute little spot, cafeteria-style service with classic options for proteins! Street tacos were super fresh, neatly assembled, with a generous portion of chicken. The chicken was tender and not overcooked or stringy at all. I really enjoyed their salsas, the red one has a little kick to it. Really stoked to have solid Mexican food close to my office, now I can eat tacos at the park without having to walk far!!

Panzon Mexican grill opened up about two months ago. It’s right in downtown Sacramento across the street from the north side of the State Capitol at 11th and LStreets. The shop entry is on 11th Street. Hurray another option for weekday lunchs.
The place is a take n go with a compact but mighty menu. They serve the likes of street tacos, bowls, beans, rice, chips, and gauc. The prices are reasonable. I recall that the street tacos was $3 a piece, and an order of chips was $3 or $4 as was the side of gauc. I ordered the two taco and beans n rice combo $10.
The tortillas were steamed a bit and doubled up per taco. I choose asada and carnitas. Both were delicious, but my fave was carnitas. The carnitas had some crisp edges but still all so moist and flavorful. The asada had a great flavor as well. And the salsa verde was madding good which I chose as my salsa topping of choice for both. The beans and rice were all right. But those tacos did it for me. They also sold fountain drinks and bottled Jarritos and Mexican cokes $4.
They have some patio tables out front. The view of the capital is pretty cool.

Food is great! I got a birria burrito. The birria had a very balanced flavor profile and the meat was super tender and didn’t have any tough pieces or fat trimmings. It’s clear that whoever prepared this did it with a lot of care and with an amazing instinct for seasoning. The beans were also great! They truly tasted homemade. The green salsa was flavorful and the right amount of spicy.
Service is friendly and efficient. The folks there are pleasant and very kind.
To top it all off, the price is unbeatable. 10/10 would come here again.

I’ve been waiting years for a good Mexican lunch spot in this area and Panzon Grill wins. The rice and beans taste homemade. The guacamole is savory. Food is flavorful and ingredients are fresh. They set very fair prices considering the area, and the ladies working there are very kind and generous. They are fairly new and I hope this business sticks around for many years to come.

The owner and workers are very kind. The owner said he wants to keep prices low and give customers food they enjoy. The food is delicious and the meat portions are generous. I have tried a lot of restaurants downtown and this restaurant has quality food at an affordable price. Highly recommend!

I love going on walks, and I was excited to see this new restaurant open. I remember when the area was quiet, but now it’s full of people enjoying the food and atmosphere. I tried the burrito bowl, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. Definitely worth checking out!

The first time I had this place it was phenomenal.
But the second time I arrived at 3:30pm December 15 the store was closed earlier than their hours stated and that kind of sucks cause I actually look forward to eating here over other places.
just wondering if the hours need to be updated?

Great service, great food for the price and the inside is nice and clean. Someone mentioned their asada had a lot of tendons and I wanted to mention that I did not have that experience when I ordered asada.
