My wife and I had lunch today at Du Lit, and it was absolutely amazing! We started with the Breaking Bread and marinara—it was so good I could’ve eaten just that for my meal. My wife ordered the Boston, and I had the special “Frankie Two Chee.” The menu is fun and funky, with each dish having a unique name and story. The owner is more than happy to share the meaning behind them if you’re curious, which adds a really personal touch.
Every item on the menu sounds incredible, and I’d honestly recommend trying as many dishes as you can. The atmosphere is a mix of modern and fine dining—music playing in the background makes it feel like you’ve stepped into an affordable black-tie restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable, not only about the food but also about the drink menu and beverage pairings.

Love this little place. So cozy, and the food is so good. I always get the pulled pork nachos, and they never disappoint! I got a beer this time, and it was very smooth with no bite. Recommend coming to eat here.

This is my second time here and my wife and I love it. I got the “Run for Mexico” and my wife got the “Chip and Jane’s Smash”. The flavors are excellent and everything was very fresh. Great place to try if you are looking for something unique and flavorful. If you have food allergies (Gluten Free, Dairy Free, etc.) they can accommodate. Highly recommend!

Late lunch, best salad with add on’s ever! all fresh & delish, my roasted chicken seasoned to perfection. Ranch dressing light & so tasty. Our waitress very attentive, kind, carried herself very well. We ate outside on patio. It was a gorgeous day to do so. Enjoyed the atmosphere.

We stopped at Du Lit on our way home from All State Choir in Fort Wayne to So. IN, the allergy friend options (especially gluten free since our daughter has celiac disease) was a major draw . There were so many unique and delicious options available for her!!
We called ahead since we were a party of 9 and wouldn’t arrive until 9p (they close at 10), and they were able to accommodate us. The service was impeccable. Everyone was so kind, and the quality of the food was excellent at a reasonable price.
We’ll definitely be back when we go to Ball State for visits.

The vibe here is extraordinary. This is a hidden gem in Indiana. The food rivals any big city! The service was beyond excellent and again, the vibe, style and feel of this place is like no other in the entire state. Small and low key but big on flavor! A fine dining experience that again would rival the finest chefs, the finest fare and it is in an of itself fine art, I can’t wait to go again and again and again. Is it expensive? Yes. But to that I say, you get what you pay for but all things considered, it’s a bargain, in Chicago you’d pay double. I’m impressed. This is the restaurant I’ve been looking for in Indiana.

Fantastic spot! The burger was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The pulled pork on top was a great addition. Loved the queso sides—a perfect match.
