Jan’s chili dogs are as good as any other place of their type. My favorite thing to get here is the Cherry Freeze; it’s addicting. Their prices are, however, a little bit higher than one would expect. Staff is very friendly.

Very rude customer service. When standing outside for over 5 minutes and the man finally opened the window asked “what do you want?” We asked if they were open still and he said “well we’re here” and then said they have no food. This has been twice not he has been rude and they are under prepared.

Had a great dog at the Erie St Market from Jan’s hot dog kart. Stopped in the Jan’s hot dog on central and got moldy hot dog buns! Probably won’t be going back!

Jan’s needs to update their hours… Do you close at 7:30? 7:45? Or 8? Make sure you get there at least 45 minutes before they close because I’ve been there at all of these times and they’re always closed. It’s a shame because previously I wrote a 5 star review about how good their service was but this time the woman working at the front center wouldn’t even acknowledge me after making eye contact… I was planning on asking the hours… It’s not difficult to be friendly. I guess I’ll be taking my business to Handel’s….

I came here at 8:55 last minute and they were closed already. Working retail and restaurant we were always told to close at the time of closing. So I went to Handels and spent $30 on the same stuff because they close at 10pm instead of 8:55pm. Disappointed. Please close at 9pm as posted.

The staff, while young, have always been very helpful, friendly and polite. I know they are back in school, but you have to give the owners a huge shout out and thank you for training and hiring the youth of today. We love Jan’s and will continue to support them! The only downside is that they have NO restroom which limits us from bringing the kids and older adults.

I got a chili dog and a small hot fudge sundae. The sunday was great,but the hot dog was not good. The sauce on the hot dog was great, but the hot dog had no flavor and it was tough. So, if you want good ice cream, they have it, but the dogs were less than good.
