Heavenly Indian Restaurant truly lived up to its name. It was such a lovely pick for a special occasion! The vibe inside feels cosy and welcoming, with pretty floral decorations, warm hanging lights, and a chalkboard feature wall that adds a nice touch. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, and they made everything feel smooth from start to finish.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The starters came on a wooden platter with crisp salad and cute carved veggies, and the sesame coated bites were so flavourful and satisfying. Even the drink was a highlight. The strawberry and citrus mocktail with a coated rim, lemon slice, and little umbrella looked amazing and tasted super refreshing.

Overall, great ambience, great service, and food that tastes as good as it looks. Perfect for a special occasion and definitely worth coming back for.

A fantastic Indian culinary experience in Wollongong. I’d been here before with a friend to taste test the food and we were impressed. Came back with a big group of 17 and the food was delicious. It’s hard to keep the food quality high and consistent and I hope Heavenly Indian continues this and never compromises on this. Great work Heavenly.

I recently dined here and had a truly delightful experience. I ordered paneer pakoda, the heavenly special chaat, bhindi do pyaza, dal tadka, and tandoori roti, and everything exceeded expectations.
The paneer pakoda was crispy on the outside with soft, fresh paneer inside—perfectly seasoned and not at all oily. The heavenly special chaat lived up to its name with a great balance of tangy, sweet, and spicy flavors.
For the mains, the bhindi do pyaza was well-cooked without being greasy, with onions adding a nice sweetness. The dal tadka was comforting and aromatic—simple but packed with flavor. The tandoori rotis came hot and soft with just the right char from the tandoor.
A lovely surprise was the complimentary kheer, which was creamy, mildly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal.
Overall, great taste, good portion sizes, and warm service. Definitely a place I’d visit again!

We decided to try out the new Indian restaurant on the block and we were not disappointed.
The service was friendly and the menu was diverse.
The Dahi puri was wonderful, as were the Lamb Roganjosh and Naan.
A complimentary carrot dessert was a lovely touch.
In summary a great restaurant with wonderful food and good value for money.

We visited Heavenly Indian Restaurant for breakfast and had an amazing experience. The Chole Bhature was perfectly fluffy with rich, flavourful chole, the kulcha was fresh, and the aloo paratha was comforting and delicious with a well-balanced filling. Everything tasted authentic and freshly made. We also tried their desserts — the gelato, kulfi, and ice cream — which were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The service was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. A wonderful place for a satisfying Indian breakfast and desserts. Highly recommended!

Just had one of the best dining experiences at Heavenly Indian Restaurant in Wollongong! If you’re after authentic North Indian flavours with that true Delhi touch, this place absolutely nails it.

The Delhi-style Chicken was mind-blowing — packed with flavour, tender, and perfectly spiced. The Chilli Paneer deserves a special mention — hands down one of the best I’ve had in Australia. The Amritsari Fish was light, crispy, and bursting with Punjabi flavour. And those naans? Soft, buttery perfection.

To top it off, their Mango Lassi is heavenly (pun intended), and the Strawberry Mojito was refreshingly different. Every dish had that balance of authenticity and finesse that’s hard to find.

The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the overall service made the evening even better. Massive shoutout to Tarun, the owner — an absolute legend who clearly takes pride in what he serves. His passion for food shows in every bite.

If you’re in Wollongong and love Indian food, do yourself a favour — visit Heavenly Indian Restaurant. You’ll walk out smiling and already planning your next visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Easily a 5-star experience. Authentic, delicious, and genuinely memorable.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Heavenly Restaurant. I ordered Delhi butter chicken with roti, spring rolls, and gulab jamun, and everything tasted amazing. The butter chicken was very rich, creamy, and full of authentic flavor. The roti was soft and fresh, perfectly matching the curry. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious with great taste. The gulab jamun was warm, soft, and perfectly sweet — a perfect dessert to finish the meal.

The food quality was excellent, the service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Staff were polite and welcoming. I really enjoyed the overall experience and would definitely visit again. Highly recommended for tasty food and great service.
