McGuire’s Irish Pub first opened in 1977 as a small neighborhood pub in a shopping center. In 1982 McGuire’s moved to its current location; Pensacola’s original 1927 Old Firehouse. Inside the pub you’ll find a turn-of-the-century, New York Irish Saloon themed 615-seat restaurant. We are celebrated for our atmosphere boasting more than One Million signed dollar bills hanging from the ceilings and walls of the Pub. In 1996, a second location, McGuire’s Irish Pub of Destin opened on beautiful Destin Harbor with the same great food and live Irish entertainment.
Irish pub grub delivered with ales brewed in copper kettles, plus live music most nights.

We ordered the combo appetizer platter, Reuben chowder bread bowl, chicken almond salad, and a pastrami sandwich. The serving sizes were generous for the price. Plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.
The combo had at least 7 different appetizers in it. The chicken almond salad had a satisfying crunch. The pastrami sandwich was piled high with meat & the rye bread was incredibly soft & fresh. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, capturing that busy, classic Irish pub feel. We’ll be back.
Once there, I found out they had a Snow Birds special where the bread pudding dessert was free.
Every day they also have Navy bean soup for only 18 cents.
The root beer float with in house root beer was amazing.
The waiter was wonderful as well.
You can also write your name on a dollar bill and hang it with over a million other ones.
A very cool site to see.
Love this place.
2) Our food was cooked perfectly and the foos was enough for seconds lunch the next day. Yum!
3) Small 10 minute wait but it was worth it. Couldn’t get the Destin location to place our names online, but the weather was so nice even in December we didnt mind waiting outside.
4) Steaks were amazing, highly recommend. My teenage kid loves mac and cheese and burgers. They had a burger with both… he was super happy.
TOTALLY RECOMMEND!
Another highlight is the gift shop. From Irish-themed souvenirs to branded merchandise, it’s the perfect place to pick up a memorable keepsake after your meal. Whether you’re visiting for the food, the décor, or just the lively ambiance, McGuire’s Destin delivers on all fronts. A must-visit for anyone in the area!
Since my last visit was great, I came back again — two days in a row. However, this time was disappointing. I ordered two entrées that were both supposed to come with bread, but we only received one. When I asked the server, they said that even for up to four people, they only give one bread. That made no sense to me. I also tried all the side dishes — the asparagus was bland and lacked flavor, and the creamed spinach was served cold.

Really great atmosphere and excellent service. There was a short waitlist, about 20–30 minutes. The pork chop was absolutely delicious, and the corned beef and cabbage were great as well. The food took a little while to come out, and according to the menu, both dishes should’ve come with bread, but our table only received one. Still, overall, I’d definitely come back again and again! Parking can be little challenging.
