I went to Twisted Laurel in Spruce Pine after a day of unpacking upon our return from Florida. Fortunately we didn’t have to dress up in order to enjoy an excellent meal in a very casual restaurant that served excellent food. I ordered the meatballs and highly recommend them. Our server was very attentive and very friendly. We will definitely make this our main restaurant stop in this area.

Service is good but the food is spotty. My spanakopita had been sitting for a while. The edges were not freshly cut. But the hamburger is amazing and the homemade veggie burger was good as well.

First visit for me to the Spruce Pine location. I’ve been to both the Weaverville and Asheville locations multiple times and love it. I’m thrilled to have one in our backyard now. My go to for lunch has always been their steak combo sub but I tried their turkey brie sandwich with turkey, brie cheese, bacon, thin slice of apple, cranberry mayo on wheatberry bread and housemade chips and it was to die for. I also love their bison burger.
