Driving down the Interstate and always looking for a Mexican restaurant to stop at. Found Los Cabos and it was perfect. Easy off the beaten path and a great place for lunch! I ordered something fresh, easy, and cool for these hot temperatures in the South we’ve been having for a while. A Mexican Shrimp Cocktail with lots of crackers and a huge ice tea to go. Ate it in the car and hardly was quick and easy to get rolling down the road again. My order even included chips and salsa!!

The food was great but I love Mexican food. The food tastes slightly different than your usual chain Mexican restaurant, more authentic I’d say. The service was great as well. It was hot in there tho. The sever bless her heart was pouring sweat. It was the end of lunch shift, she was alone, so she was running from the register to the tables, fixing drinks, running food and taking the money. However, we weren’t disappointed. Small town, small side of the road restaurant, our expectations werent high, but it was surprisingly wonderful. We would eat there again when it’s cooler outside.

The food wasn’t bad, and the proportions were very large! I ordered a half order, the size that I got would have been a whole order at any other Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in the north Mississippi. Our waitress was amazing considering she was the only waitress there on a Saturday night! The wait wasn’t too long considering how full the restaurant was.

I don’t get a welcoming feeling and attentive service that I do at most Mexican restaurants. We waited a while to be greeted at our table and then for our drinks. I had to wave the server down to ask about the dip I ordered. My order was wrong. I had to wait, hoping someone would come check on us, and they didn’t. I had to find someone. Hopefully, it will be just a bad evening. I will try them again.

The waiters here are very attentive and always make sure you have what you need and the managers are the same way. I have never waited more than 5 minutes to get my drink and never more than 15 minutes to get my food. They are definitely the favorite with my family.
