Cute ice cream place with a huge selection of flavors. Can get super busy after dinner. The waffle cone was boring though. Would have been perfect with housemate cones dipped in chocolate or something.

Sundae Best is seriously one of my favorite places in Avalon! They have two locations in town and both are absolutely amazing. We stop by every time we’re there, sometimes more than once in a day!
Their ice cream is hands-down the best. So creamy, so fresh, and they have such a great variety of flavors. I love that they’re always mixing it up with new combos, but still keep the classics around. There’s always something exciting to try.
And I have to say their coffee is just as good as their ice cream. Their lattes are delicious, smooth, strong, and made with love. It’s become my go-to coffee stop in town.
Chris, the owner, and his family are the sweetest. You can tell they really care about their customers and put so much heart into what they do. It just feels good to support a place like this.
If you’re in Avalon, go to Sundae Best. You won’t regret it!

This is our favorite ice cream parlor at the shore. The flavors are full of the stalwarts along with some unusual yet tasty options we don’t tend to see elsewhere (grilled pineapple, blueberry crumb). And of course there are about a dozen tasty sundae options too. Highly recommend!

I really like the way they have setup their business to accommodate concerns about the spread of Covid-19. The have everyone order outside and they lines on the sidewalk to help people social distance.
The icecream is home made and very delicious. This is our favorite icecream shop when we come to the NJ shore.

Been going here for years and they never disappoint. My favorite flavor is Funky Monkey, but Cherry Vanilla is also good.

They have lots of really interesting flavors and we all really enjoyed what we got. Personally, I was SO impressed with their vegan ice cream!! They make all their ice cream there, including their vegan ice cream. Well, there’s only one flavor at a time, the flavor I had (chocolate peanut butter) was absolutely delicious. One of the best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had.

The BEST hand dipped ice cream on the 7 mile island & perhaps in the whole state of NJ. We love it here. Patience is a virtue because there’s always a line at this popular place. Treat yourself-you’ll be happy you did and it’s definitely worth the wait. Picture shows the smiles as we wait for our black & white milkshakes.

The ice cream at Sundae Best is really good! This review is for the rest of the experience. We haven’t been here in years, and showed up to find out that they are still using outdoor ordering that was started during COVID. This means that you can’t sample or see the flavors, which is a huge deterrent – especially for the cost of their scoops.They also do not have flavor descriptions listed in person or online. Because your order is brought out on a tray, they also do not offer regular cake cones. It’s also important to note that they do not have kids sizes, which means we were paying for a too-big for my toddler, full size and full price scoop of ice cream. We would love to come back because the ice cream itself really is delicious, but all of these factors mean we’ll probably continue getting ice cream elsewhere.

Best ice cream in Avalon, bar none. Be wary that lines can be long, but the COVID-19 protocol of ordering outside is reasonable and doesn’t diminish the great taste.
