Wonderful dinner at K Fried Bananas, as always. It’s good to take a Vietnamese friend along but easy to order their house specials. Tonight the spicy wings were great with some jalapeños. Not fancy, it’s a front yard. Street parking. Only open Thur- Sat 6-10, call to make sure. Cash, Venmo or Zelle

I had driven by a few times and always wanted to check it out. Glad I found a chance today to finally sample their “banana nuggets”, which stood out to me when I browsed the menu.

Stopped by on a Saturday night. Curbside parking was easy and only a few feet away. Spot was well-lit and inviting. It’s an intimate vibe with just a few tables. We got fire pit seating! Kelly the owner/chef was very welcoming and attentive.

We ordered spring rolls, eggs rolls, banana nuggets, and the fried Nutella banana. Every single bite was soo good, made fresh on the spot.

Very reasonable prices! 3 egg rolls for $5 is refreshing! $5 for the Fried Nutella Banana is also refreshingly reasonable

The spring rolls came with house-made peanut sauce and it was the best peanut sauce I’ve ever had.

We will be back to try more of the menu. We loved it. Kelly is great. 5 stars!

One of the best hidden gems in the valley. I stopped by one night when I saw this cute little neon-light pop up advertising k. fried bananas.

Upon walking in, I was greeted by the friendly owners and their two beautiful little corgi dogs who like the chill at the entrance.

I ordered some fried bananas, different types of egg rolls, and something in a banana leaf.

Everything was so delicious, my favorite was the signature fried bananas plain style 🙂

Will def be coming back and trying their other dishes which include full on meals.

K Fried Banana might be the single greatest thing to ever happen to the San Fernando Valley. They should change this from a snack bar to a straight up institution.

I don’t even like bananas but Katy convinced me to give hers a try and I haven’t looked back since. I mean they’re just unbelievably good. You literally watch her make them right in front of you, she pounds out a Thai banana, dunks it in that ooey gooey batter and frys it, AND THEN SHE DOES IT AGAIN, resulting in a just stupid crispy shell with a soft, warm banana inside. Ridiculous I know, and you literally can’t get sick of it, like I just down them and immediately want another one.

There’s even full on entree’s and homemade drinks you can get. This evening I got the rocket shrimp and the new winter melon lemonade (plus a banana ofc). The rocket shrimp was super good, little crunchy rockets, and the lemonade was super refreshing. Tasted like healthy sprite, and it probably was cus chia seeds. Previously I’ve had the lychee drink and Vietnamese coffee, as well as the flan and egg rolls. It was all gas .

KFB’s a tiny little storefront, lit up on the corner of Wilbur and Saticoy. It’s an awesome little Ma n Pa with friendly staff, amazing food and adorable corgie. I’ve made it a mission to try everything on the menu, and so far not a single thing has gotten even close to disappointing. 11/10

We drive by often and luckily had time to stop tonight and try their banana nuggets and citrus iced tea. Both were phenomenal! The nuggets are a perfect late night snack that has a perfect texture and the right amount of sweetness. The atmosphere is so cute and we were immediately greeted by Daisy and Lexi, their two adorable corgis! Such an overall amazing experience!

Solid and delicious shrimp with rice and great egg rolls (pork and shrimp). I did not get the namesake fried banana, but I will go back for that. The service was wonderful, and the owner was warm and welcoming, and created a sense of community. The bonus were the corgis walking around in the outdoor area greeting everyone. Definitely will be back, and love supporting small businesses like this.

I just tried this today for the first time. I got the shrimp spring roll, the veggies were fresh inside and crunchy! The sauce was super delicious, I’ve tried it at other places and this one is just different but very good. I also got the pork egg rolls, along with the chicken and shrimp egg rolls were so flavorful. The cherry on the top was the friend banana nuggets, OMG the best. They have such a good flavor and not too sweet at all just the perfect kind of sweet. Very clean place as well. Will definitely be back soon.

So I live in Baldwin Park. I’m here a lot because my boyfriend lives here. He found this place while looking for dessert on the map. Me being Vietnamese (he’s Filipino) got excited because I love fried bananas. I saw the menu and knew that we had to go here.

I was shocked to see that it was a house, but the front had the stand and behind that, the wife would be cooking the food and the husband would take the order as well as serving it (or we’d grab it). It felt like I was sitting and eating in the streets of Vietnam. Food was delicious, service was great, drinks were yummy. We will most definitely come here again.
