First and foremost…This place should be reported to the HEALTH DEPARTMENT. After being on the road first thing in the morning and driving on country roads with nothing insight for miles and my need for another coffee. We finally stumbled upon the Huddle House in Townsend GA. as we were traveling through on our way to I-95. We just had the worst breakfast of our lives. We’ll be lucky if we don’t get food poisoning. So bad we wouldn’t have even fed it to our dog Shelby. The restaurant was run by a couple that must have owned both the gas station and the Huddle House restaurant. I should have known the second we went in that it didn’t look like a normal Huddle House as they usually have open kitchens with countertop service in addition to table service. This place was not set up that way. It has a very private closed off kitchen. We ordered 2 breakfast bowls. I wasn’t going to post pictures because I didn’t want to make anyone get grossed out and sick but I think people need to know the truth about this place. I opened my styrofoam container of food and it smelled off but I couldn’t put my finger on the smell then I took a bite and immediately spit it out. It’s an hour later and I still can’t get the taste out of my mouth
My husband’s meal was as described to a “T”
The base of the pile of food was a wet pile of mushy slimy hash browns topped with burnt bacon, topped with off colored eggs and a piece of sausage that looked like it had sat out for days and finally topped with a moldyish country gravy. Everything looked as if it had a grey tinge to it. The smell was horrid right from the beginning. The owner had noticed my face and reaction to my bite from across the room and she clearly noticed that we didn’t eat anything. And as she is charging me $$ 38 and I’m paying I’m politely expressing our dislike for the food. She’s pointing to the tip part of the credit card reader as to say so I tipped her $4 and we left. I will say this again.
REPORT THIS HUDDLE HOUSE located in Townsend GA. to the GA.

Horrible experience. My friend & I ordered – 5m later the server & manager come out and we have to re-order (the server’s English was not good). Our order was still botched. They brought things we didn’t order (grits) and neglected to bring things we did order (biscuits & gravy). The quality of the orange juice was obviously the cheapest you could possibly source. The eggs were awful. The fruit was not fresh (the apple looked like it was sliced a week earlier). The condiments were so disgusting we didn’t want to touch them (ketchup & syrup).

Huddle House is usually much better for a quick meal but the service was terrible. There was no one there except us but the service was awful. The woman barely spoke to us, acted like l was from outer space when l asked for sauce for the chicken tenders. I finally settled for ketchup. Side salads were more purple cabbage than anything else. Never came back to check if we needed drink refills, and when she came back with the coffee she brought decaf instead of regular, had to shout as she bolted off to get creamers and she walked passed twice but left the dirty dishes piled at the end of the table. Looks like the owners do everything themselves but maybe they need to hire servers who know how to do the job.

The service was great! All of the food was really really good and on point. The only thing I think that could be improved upon is the pancakes. They were just OK. Would definitely return!

Im not sure whats with all the comments praising this location. I never made a review on a restaurant and this is my first time.

I dont usually like giving a bad review but i feel like people should be aware coming to this place for food. Dont. You might as spend money on fast food.

First of all. I have ordered a t bone steak for 15 dollars. I feel the portion doesnt justified the price of the steak alone let alone sides. I ask for be rare. It wassnt welldone but it was overcooked *which im glad it wasnt undercooked* . The steak was hard and dry and salty. The fries was alright and the toast was alsp alright. It took too lomg for the food to come out. The waiter came out with just mac and cheese and was like “the rest will come” the mac and cheese was alright. Honestly the toast was probably the best part unironically.

Its not worth your time and money you might as well spend 15 on a meal from mcdonalds. Youd at least know that you are eating overpriced junk. And itll be more filling

This place is trassh. I’ve ate at multiple huddle houses worldwide. And this one seems to have different food vendors or something. The wings where very small and not flavorful. The sweet tea was not good as well

During our road trip, my family and I stumbled upon Huddle in the House. It was the perfect pitstop for a cozy breakfast and some relaxation. This spot offers delicious homemade meals in a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Don’t miss out on their crispy hash browns! It truly feels like a taste of home away from home.

Went at a dead time. I understand because it’s not a heavily populated exit off 95. Waiter quick and knows the menu. I got Buffalo tenders and shrimp. Yummy is all I can say. Fried perfectly. Just the right crisp. Thanks for a great meal. Didn’t get a desert, but the new cakes look heavenly. Thanks for a great meal
