We had such a fun time at Vochos—the atmosphere was lively, upbeat, and perfect for a night out. The vibe is great, the staff was friendly, and we genuinely enjoyed ourselves while we were there. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, laugh, and have a really good time with friends or family.

Unfortunately, the experience took a turn afterward because everyone in our group ended up getting food poisoning. That obviously put a big damper on what had been a really enjoyable evening. While we loved the energy and overall experience while dining there, the food quality and safety are a serious concern based on what happened.

It’s a shame because we truly did have SO much fun in the moment, but after this experience we’d be hesitant to return. Hopefully this was an isolated incident and something the restaurant can address moving forward.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant! Beautiful environment, fantastic staff, and incredible food. The absolute best and fresh spicy watermelon margarita I’ve ever had. The waitress was very accommodating with my dairy allergy and knowledgeable about the ingredients on the menu. By far the best Mexican restaurant in Wilmington.

Absolutely fabulous Mexican restaurant with a chic atmosphere. Do NOT leave without trying the Tuna Serrano sashimi appetizer pictured above. It’s thin tuna slices in a fabulous soy concoction with serrano peppers! (hint- it’s actually not on the menu yet, but they will make it for you) My tacos were fabulous & the Chamorro Pibil pork shank fell off the bone. All 6 of us had winning meals and fabulous drinks. I’ll be back!

We were greeted quickly upon sitting. The venue is nice. There were beautiful roses on the table.
Now on to the food. The menu was unique and exotic. However the food items execution was profoundly lacking in both flavor and fusion of Asian and Latin combo. We ordered oysters app and they tasted oddly like refried beans instead of oysters the oyster flavor was lost in the abundance of Mexican ingredients . For entres we ordered two Mexican sushi rolls. One had suid and tigers milk but a puddle of sauce soaking the bottom of the sushi. The flavor was overpowering and too sweet and citrus, the other sushi was the steak and the steak was overcooked significantly the flavor was OK but underwhelming. Lastly we ordered the Wygu burger med rare and it came out well done and was also underwhelming flavor and the cheese was rubbery, the fries were OK but lacked the rosemary listed in the menu.
Service was slow. Most of the time our water glasses were empty and the waitress left us sitting for over 20 min after we finnished. She at one point said they were short a cook and the remaininv cooks were having trouble keeping up the resturant less than half full.

Amazing Mexican cuisine at a delicate higher level. This is a upscale restaurant. Margaritas are the best in Wilmington. I would not hesitate to say that this is the best Mexican experience in Wilmington!!

Tasty flavors, great portion size, fancy dishes, friendly and quality service – will be back again. Definitely recommend the fried pork belly guacamole with chips – amazing! The corn bread was soft and delicious. Biggest recommendation I’d give is for them to add some salsa options, as there was no salsa on the menu, which was disappointing.

I went with a group of ladies for the first time and all of us had fantastic food! My experience started with one of the best margaritas I’ve had in ages. I ordered the classic version on the rocks and it was perfect. (I ended up ordering another one too.) There is a large variety of options from the appetizers to entrees and if you’re a sushi lover you will enjoy what they offer. Our group ordered many different dishes from the sushi to taquitos to noodles and everything was delicious. The owner/manager welcomed our group and our server was excellent. If you’re seeking a unique version of Mexican inspired food you won’t be disappointed.

I’m really torn on giving 4 or 5 stars. The food was very flavorful. The service was great. The atmosphere is elegant. I just don’t feel the price matches the food. My 11yo daughter ordered a ceviche and it wasn’t enough food and it cost $24. She had to eat off everyone else’s plates to feel full/satisfied. That shouldn’t be the case for a main course. For comparison, my husband got a large bowl of ramen for $17 that he didn’t finish. However, everything was delicious, even the unsweetened tea.
