Great food, but cleanliness and professionalism need attention)

This was my second visit to this Hawaiian-style restaurant. I first came shortly after they opened, and at that time everything was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, this visit felt very different.

The food itself was very good, which is why I’m leaving a balanced review. However, the experience around ordering and the overall cleanliness were disappointing.

When I ordered my main dish, there were no issues. I then asked for lumpia and was told they were out. After that, I asked to add Spam musubi to go. The front counter staff explained there could be a 30–40 minute wait and said she needed to check with the kitchen. I told her that was completely fine since I was dining in, and she went to the back once to confirm.

While she was in the back, I overheard a loud comment from the cook along the lines of “OK, next time no more…” followed by additional words that I could not clearly hear. I cannot quote exactly what was said or the full context, but overhearing a frustrated-sounding exchange related to orders made the situation uncomfortable as a customer.

The largest issue was cleanliness. The bathroom floor was dirty and sticky, and the restaurant overall looked like it needed a thorough wipe-down. Floors and surfaces did not appear to be regularly maintained. I’ve attached photos of the bathroom floor for reference.

The restaurant would benefit from stronger on-site management or supervision. I also overheard casual conversations about previous customers, which should not be happening within earshot of guests.

This place has real potential because the food itself is good. However, cleanliness, professionalism, and management presence need improvement to match the quality of the food. I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

I’ve heard of this place before and I wanted to give it a try. I arrived and the service was pretty quick, in less than 10 minutes I got my food and I am very satisfied!

I ordered the Chicken katsu, which you can choose from a small or large plate. I ordered the small portion and the amount they give you for it is A LOT, I couldn’t even finish the plate. Well seasoned and the sides that come with it really enhance the flavors.

I also got some spam musubi and were very filling too, I definitely recommend to eat by themselves or with the sweet sauce they have in one of their tables.

Will definitely come back and try the rest of the food 🙂

I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry..I never had it with regular curry on top, usually just a curry sauce. With that said, it tasted good and the portions were generous, but you pay extra for the “regular” size. Service was fairly quick too.

Came to enjoy great food and I got it. I got the chicken and beef curry style dish but the best part of the meal was 100% their macaroni salad. I’d buy a tub of it if I could. Other dishes tried was the beef steak and gravy which was soft and tender like meatloaf but better. The chicken teriyaki was delicious amd tangy the way it should be. Gonna try more traditional Hawaiian dishes in future beside the spam roll they had which was superb. Highly recommended cause their “mini” plates is more like a regular and their “regular” playes are more like a large. Best bang for your buck and it’s almost cheaper than fast food but still made fast.

Great Hawaiian food. The Chicken Katsu and Crispy Pata plates were delicious. Loved the Spam musubi, teriyaki chicken, mac salad, and lumpia.

Amazing food and great prices! We had the Aloha Steak Stir-Fry, Pork Chop & Gravy, and Korean Wings. Everything was served with Mac & Potato Salad which was so good, actually everything was very good. No complaints. Highly recommend this spot!

First time visiting, went on a Saturday and the place was packed. Wait time to order was decent. There was a constant line most of my visit. Tried the hamburger steak and Korean chicken and both were great. Was really impressed with the Mac salad, never had macaroni salad with potato and it was fantastic. Good selection of aloha juices and food options. Well be returning to try other dishes.

Hands down one of my favorite spots in town, we drive all the way from the west side of town just to eat here. The chicken katsu and the Mac salad are simply amazing. Have had some issues ordering with DoorDash but the owner/management made it right! I recommend this place to any people new to town and looking for a tasty meal! I recommend just coming in and ordering!

The food was decent, but as someone born and raised in Hawaii, it didn’t taste authentic, though I guess that’s to be expected in El Paso. The Kalua pork was missing that signature smoky flavor, and the macaroni salad was a miss. I’d recommend sticking with the teriyaki chicken, it’s a safe, universal choice.
