I’ve been going to Pixley’s for many years. I’m glad they survived the Pandemic. On a recent visit I had an enormous salad. I only ate maybe 1/4 of it because it was so large. I enjoyed it due to the warm, grilled chicken on top. My husband had Linguini and clams. He said it was okay but felt it was bland. I’ve always felt that Pixley’s provided a generous portion for the money. I wish they’d make a better effort in cleaning the women’s restroom. The service was fine.

Used to be a staple dining spot while Mom and Dad were alive. 10+ years. Went solo for breakfast 3+ months ago, great eggs Benedict. Tried it again solo Friday night; broiled haddock very tasty; no tarter needed.
Cole slaw was lacking pineapple; waitress mentioned running out and the Chef had to make a quick batch; might have skipped the pineapple. My waitress (Valerie) very personal-able. Warm Italian Bread beats a dinner roll 100%.

This place is magical

It has really great food and really attentive service

We even had a little girl who I thought might be Pixley open the door for us to welcome us in

We left a great tip because we really enjoyed it!

A friend and I stopped by after work to get a to go order. The food was perfecto, and the service was personable and sincere and unlike any I have received at various Gates eateries. I will say while the aesthetics is less than appealing with its outdated decor; and it feels like an old, tired diner, you do get the sense that they are focused on customer service and not so much looks which is a priority for me. If the food is good and the service is up to snuff, then I am good. Unfortunately, I learned the place is up for sale and Gates could lose a good thing. Its family owned and has been a staple in the community and those are hard to replace. People should be more mindful ad grateful and less quick to slam the place that has served you and your neighbors for years. My neighbors in Spencerport love this place. Just saying.

Was looking for a diner for a late breakfast and tried this place. One word sums it up – underwhelming. The prices are quite high, which I wouldn’t have minded had the food been good – which it was not. The home fries were old, to the point that they were tasteless. The grilled hard roller that I ordered was totally flat – wasn’t even an actual hard roll like anything I’ve ever seen before. The $ 9 Belgian waffle the I ordered was pretty much tasteless as well. When we ached for extra napkins we were given one each – the waitress actually took the other 2 back. I should have known better than to stop here – 10 AM and there was only one other customer in the place. In fact, it looked closed so I had to check the front door to see if it was locked. The entire place is quite dated including the restrooms. Like I said, I don’t mind paying for decent food, but at half the price l, it still would have been too much.

Chicken on our sandwiches were frozen patties and had poor taste/texture. Sauce tasted like it came from Dollar General. Not sure if owners changed or what but it was night and day over meals we’ve had there in the past.

Grumpy hostess, grumpy waitress, old stale coffee, extremely slow service, worst breakfast I have ever had, that’s going some! Inedible. This place used to be pretty good, must have changed hands. I won’t be going back anytime soon.
