Oooooooooeeee! This place has great spicy chicken. It’s fried super well with a thick southern style batter and lots of flavor. The onion rings are also super delicious. I am a transplant from the south and can say with confidence that this is authentic southern food. Okay… let’s talk spice levels. I got the “hot” and it was quite punchy. Think fresh jalapeño or cayenne type heat. Not overwhelming for me, but definitely not weak. The hot is only the 3rd of 5 heat levels so I bet the top level is super hot. My friend got the 2nd level and it was what I would consider medium heat. Flavors are on point here. It’s definitely worth trying this cart out!

The best Onion Rings I’ve ever had! Incredibly crispy and golden, melt away perfectly cooked onion. Super unique seeing them dredged like the chicken, I’m obsessed! Heavily seasoned and perfect (to me). Worth coming out just for these.
The chicken is also absolutely fantastic! The crispiest breading, and not greasy at all! I love spicy food but wish I had gotten the sandwich or some Cole slaw on the side to help subdue and compliment the heat. (I went with ‘hot’ -It’s some fantastic, flavorful heat, just wouldn’t go at it without reinforcements on the side.
Wasn’t a huge fan of the ranch, but that’s just my opinion. You may like it! I felt it didn’t compliment the spices in the chicken and wasn’t refreshing against the heat how I’d expect. That said, there are half a dozen other sauces I’m sure I’ll find one I like in the future.
Excited to return for more Onion Rings and to try the Coleslaw! Fantastic spot and friendly owner even though he was slammed when I went.

Wow… HUGE Tenders (like half a large chicken breast half for each tender) – Three tenders per order. I ordered the Mild Spice, which is basically medium on their spice list (#3 out of 6) and it was pretty close to my limit… I can only imagine what their # 6 is like (OUCH!)
Really good flavor, juicy and tender! Very crispy crust on the chicken too! Onion rings seemed a little salty, but they were good.
Good service too!
I will be back!

THEY GOT THE SPICE! I was driving up from Medford back home to Portland, the land of Dave’s hot chicken who has a monopoly on the city, and I wanted some variety from a local hot chicken place! Stopped by this place 15 minutes before closing, and ordered 2 hot strips and one extra hot to guage their heat levels. The tenders were very juicy and big. The hot had a good kick with amazing flavor. I moved to the extra hot and it was definitely super hot once that scorpion pepper hit. Average people beware! I’m not a fan of the more bitter and earthy flavor of scorpions, but it definitely added heat! It was probably a burn level between Dave’s hot chickens extra hot and reaper waiver tender if you could compare. I will be back sometime soon to try their extra extra hot for a YouTube video challenge! But for most people who have a HIGH spice tolerance, stick with the hot for the best flavor. Again, their heat level is on a hotter scale than Dave’s. If you like spicy and fresh chicken, this is definitely the place to go! If you hate spicy, go to another place. Then again, maybe get no spice or something here for the juicy chicken. I will definitely be back! Great price and value too

First time here and all I gotta say is Damn!
When I’m craving fried chicken, this is what I picture in my mind. Wings were crispy, made to order, deliciously seasoned. Fries were great too. Customer service was excellent too. It’s a shame I’m not local to the area cause I would be back here every chance I got.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for months and finally stopped by today. Turns out the hype is worth it – this place is fire! We got the chicken sandos (hot), potato salad, baked beans, and chili. Everything is delicious. The chicken is cooked super well, so crispy, juicy, and flavorful, and the slaw and bun are both good. The chili is so tasty, packed with beef and beans. Potato salad is creamy and mustardy, a great complement to the spicy chicken. Baked beans sweet and savory. We look forward to stopping by again!

I fell in love with Nashville Hot Chicken on my travels to Nashville. Pyre is one of the few places outside of Nashville that I’ve had that I feel like I’m eating the real thing. Perfectly fried, juicy, and crispy. They’ve got heat levels for all tastes. My go to is the Thighs at the “Hot” level. The tenders are delicious as well. I also highly recommend the Onion Rings. They’re honestly the best Onion rings I’ve had.

My husband was craving gizzards and I was craving chicken and waffles. We settled on Pyre. It was so nice to speak with the owner about Tennessee/kentucky while waiting for our food.
The chicken pieces were HUGE for the price and absolutely amazing.

Update: sandwich comes with slaw (which I love) instead of lettuce and tomato now. Added a pic of the sandwich with slaw and pickles on it. Still love the spot.
Delicious and good sized sandwich (I got it plain/no toppings). Nice flavor and juicy chicken.
Tenders were awesome as well. Got them spicier than the sandwich and still had flavor.
Nice n slightly crispy curly fries that traveled back home well (7-8 min drive)
