While looking for something to eat in Fort Lee, we discovered this small restaurant — and it was a wonderful surprise. Both the food and the service stood out, especially thanks to the owner, Ricardo, whose friendly attention and menu explanations gave our visit a special touch.
As soon as we sat down, we were welcomed with hot tea — perfect for a cold day. We ordered the large brisket pho, and it truly was large. It came with a side plate of sprouts, basil, and lime to add to the soup, which made the flavors even better. The noodles were perfectly cooked. Definitely one of the best pho dishes we’ve tried.
We also ordered the special fried rice with beef, chicken, and shrimp. It comes with a tasty side salad of lettuce, cucumber, and carrot with a creamy mayonnaise dressing. The portion is generous and great for sharing.
We will definitely be back

The three stars is for the food- the pho was very bland, they give you a lot of noodles which is great, but that authentic pho broth is just not there unfortunately. The shrimp summer rolls lack rice noodles, but the peanut sauce was great. Service was good, atmosphere was good, was just disappointed in the food overall.

Came in on New Year’s Day with a party of 7 (including 2 babies) at around 1 PM. Thankfully, my friend was able to make a reservation because the place is very small. I do appreciate that they were able to hold the table for us, even though we were running 15 minutes late. However, this wasn’t the best Vietnamese food. It was more like a fusion spot. The best thing we ordered were the garlic fries. Yes, you heard right – garlic fries at a Vietnamese restaurant. But who am I to complain – they were the battered kind and came out perfectly crispy and garlicky.
For my main, I had the vermicelli bowl with spring rolls. The spring rolls are the lazy spring rolls where they don’t use rice paper, but just use spring roll paper. Instead of a bowl, the noodles are served in a cold chunk. And instead of a bed of crisp lettuce/cucumber, it’s a side salad with a mystery mayo-based dressing. Hubby had the beef with rice dish, which came with the same side salad, and instead of grilled beef, it was more like a bulgogi. We also tried the pork banh mi, which was just fine but again, not really grilled like real Vietnamese grilled pork.
I might come back for an order of fries, but that’s probably about it.

I’ve tried pretty much every Vietnamese restaurant in the Fort Lee area and have decided Pho Che will be my go to Pho place from now on. I got spicy pho and it was actually pretty spicy and hit my craving! Other Vietnamese spots have “spicy lemongrass” type too but I’ve always felt like they were missing the actual heat. We also got iced Vietnamese coffee at the end which was a perfect way to cool down:) Pho Che is clean, got plenty of seats, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. We’ll be back!

I came yesterday night and ordered a brisket pho which I was gonna eat for lunch the next day which is today Friday. I had no time for lunch so right now at 10:40 I’m eating my pho and it’s really good but I’m half way through and I find a red piece of hair in my food. I have brown long hair and now I don’t want any of it cause I’m disgusted. I work in the service industry as well so I understand this happens sometimes! Which is fine I wish they were currently open so I can express how I feel but hopefully they reach out after this review. Other wise it was great before the hair it’s pretty hard to see the red/ blond in this lighting

The spicy pho is delicious, so are the summer rolls and garlic french fries. They use fresh ingredients and tastes really nice. The owners are super friendly and the Thai Ice Tea here is the absolute best

We really enjoyed our family dinner at Pho Che tonight. The restaurant is very clean and service was excellent. Place is also very kid-friendly. I have two picky kids and they loved the pork chops. We will be back again soon!

As a Vietnamese food enthusiast, I was delighted to discover Pho Che in Fort Lee. This cozy restaurant offers a delightful blend of authentic flavors and friendly service.
Atmosphere and Service: The moment I stepped inside, I felt at home. The warm ambiance and inviting decor create a comfortable dining space. The staff, with their genuine smiles, made me feel like a valued guest.
The Broth: Being a Vietnamese and trying pho broths from all over the world, I was eager to taste Pho Che’s rendition. The verdict? A solid 3.5 out of 5.
The appetizers: the fries along with the egg rolls were actually amazing! Very well made and crisp

I’ve been to the authentic Vietnamese pho places in Bergen Co., but this place never fall behind. Since this city of Fort Lee has Koreans as a main asians (based on the Wikipedia), soup taste just right for me. Only thing is that this place is bit hot during winter. Owner should turn heater bit lower.
