Our server Cheryl was knowledgeable about the area and the delicious menu. Very attentive. The food was fresh, beautiful and packed with flavor. The cauliflower steak, clam chowder, pea salad and beet carpaccio were outstanding and a pleasure to eat. The highlight of the menu was the 16 layer crepe cake. Delicate and elegant. The crowning touch to a five star meal. Very well done!

Cheryl was very hospitable! She was very warm and friendly and not pushy or rushed us with our order. It was our first time eating here and I was pleased with the lunch. We both had the chicken salad sandwich and I order also the sticky short ribs, they were delicious! We didn’t wait long either! We will be back again, thank you Cheryl for your kindness!

Katie provided excellent service at the bar and made a great recommendation for dessert. The bread pudding was amazing! The pea salad is delicious. The grilled chicken sandwich was enough to split. We’re lucky to have this great restaurant in town.

1833 Restaurant located in The Oberlin Hotel is well worth going to. Quiet, calm atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection! I had sweet potato risotto. We shared the best bread pudding I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back! It was our anniversary. We did something we never do, we sat before dinner at the bar and had a glass of wine. It was a beautiful evening. Thanks!

Great food and drinks. Friendly and fairly quick. Being attached to the hotel is a bonus. The Brussel Sprouts and 16 layer cake are awesome even if on opposite sides of the nutritional spectrum. Butter nut lettuce salad is great. Great Lakes beer on tap.

I often use the meeting at conference centers at the facility of eighteen thirty 3526 times a year.
This past week there was a huge ice storm, my wife, and I stayed there. The rooms were spectacular.The heating unit takes a bit of you getting used to… The roads were icy, so we thought we would try the restaurant on the first floor… Very moderately priced Great drinks. Nice bottle of wine. The food was of great value and really, really tasty. The veal parmesanIt was some of the best i’ve had in a long time. My wife had the short ribs.They were better than i’ve ever had… People don’t often think they eat any hotel. When there’s other options, this is a viable option and very, very good!

Came in for their salmon eggs bene which is no longer on the menu. Pancake was good. Sausage gravy has a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Coffee was not hot enough. My waitress Cheryl was very efficient and friendly.
