Our first real trip here to Trinidad and had to stop in to the infamous Sam’s Place.
Not a stranger to be had here. Felt welcome immediately. Even though everyone knows everyone, they all made us feel at home.
Sam and George are great hosts. Becky the bartender is friendly and attentive.

Been wanting to stop at Sam’s for years but traveling companion’s aren’t “rustic” neighborhood bar ladies. Finally this year my husband went with me. I love these kind of places……….usually. My husband is reserved to say the least and loves the fact that I will talk to anyone. He has said and will tell anyone that since he’s met me he’s met more people and had more fun in VFW’s, neighborhood bars & dives than ever. I guess it was the lady part of the owners came down the bar to serve us. Anyway after her asking me if I ever shut up and let him talk my husband asked me not to ever ask him to go into Sam’s again. He was as mad as I have ever seen him in over 20 years. We did meet some really cool guys from Sweden there. Come to find out they came from my uncle’s home town there. Nice guys. Gave it three stars because everyone has a bad day.

We had so much fun, we love Sam And George they are some awesome people, hope to go back soon,(Halloween party, at Sam’s Thursday, see you there.) The food is always delicious, wish I could eat there every night (lol)
